Is This Too Much Oil ?24 Oct 2005 13:35 GMT8
Just had an oil change at dealer - regular dino oil.
New oil level is pretty much the same with warm and cold motor.

Red marks the oil level.
Rear light indicator24 Oct 2005 07:59 GMT3
I have a 2000 Toyota Solara.  For a couple of weeks now,
I've been getting an indicator light for my rear lights.
It only comes on after I've been driving for a while, and
most of the time even after a couple of hours it never
1999 Toyota Corolla Rear Struts24 Oct 2005 06:20 GMT7
Have over 80,000 on our car. Just noticed that the body rides on the tires
when we put over 40 pounds in the trunk (3 bags of potting soil). Went to
the Toyota dealer who said that he could not find anything wrong. Strange,
but I think it is a combo of the rear struts and coils ...
ATF color question - Matrix/Corolla24 Oct 2005 02:24 GMT5
I drained and refilled the ATF on my Matrix this weekend at 48K miles.
It was the second such procedure, I did the first at 16K.  I didn't
notice any unusual odor, but the color was more like purple grape juice
than the normal "Hawaiian punch" red of new ATF.  The car has been
2000 Camry Clutch Problem24 Oct 2005 01:17 GMT1
I have a friend with a 2000 Camry, manual transmission, ~60,000 miles,
and she states that her clutch is going out.  The car had two previous
owners, who maybe rode the clutch.  She bases this on indications of the
odometer spinning faster at times on an incline or starting and ...
Drive Shaft Bolt23 Oct 2005 21:28 GMT1
What does the drive shaft bolt do and what happens if you don't tighten
it every so often? How much extra does that cost?
So who needs a car?23 Oct 2005 21:24 GMT35

Hybrids and Normal Usage23 Oct 2005 20:20 GMT13
I'd like to get a hybrid, probably a Prius, but I don't really drive all
that much. My 1991 Honda Accord only had about 80,000 miles on it, and I
drove it less the last couple of years than ever. So, my question: Does
infrequent driving tend to degrade the life of the hybrid ...
Gas down 50 cents / gallon23 Oct 2005 19:38 GMT17
That's over $20 a barrel.  Oil is down about $3 a barrel in the same
time.
Maintenance Required Light23 Oct 2005 05:54 GMT1
Just bought a Corolla and the maintenace book says that the Maintenace
Reguired Light needs to be reset with the oil change.
Does this mean that every 5000 miles this light is going to come on and
not go off untill someone resets it? Is it the end of the cheap oil
Oil up....gas down?23 Oct 2005 01:48 GMT11
How is that?  Gas prices have fallen 20 cents a gallon here in the past
2 weeks.  But oil is flat or up a bit.
Is it a conspiracy in reverse?
1978 Celica Fuel Pump Resistor22 Oct 2005 14:31 GMT1
I am trying to locate the fuel pump resistor for my 1978 Toyota Celica.  This

resistor doen't appear to be nearby.  Any suggestions?  I've tried the

1996 Toyota Tercel22 Oct 2005 00:17 GMT2
I just went to get into my car and the engine would not turn over.  As soon as I turned the key, my fan by the engine came on.  The lights, buzzer and horn all work.  Any body know what the problem could be?  And please do not tell me to get another car.
