2006 Matrix - ABS and moonroof16 Nov 2005 02:29 GMT4
I special ordered two months ago a 2006 Matrix (2WD XR model) with Vehicle
Stability Control, ABS, and Option Package #1 (which does not include a
moonroof).  I need to stay away from the moonroof because the extra 1.7
inches of extra headroom is precious.

I have a 2000 corolla and both rear windows have the same problem.  They
will roll down but only halfway up before quitting.  If I wait a minute they
will finish rolling up.  I thought they might be binding on something so I
removed the motors and tried them removed from the ...

Automatic Anti-Glare Mirror switching15 Nov 2005 17:06 GMT7
Tapping (as opposed to push & hold) button at bottom of rear view mirror
(2006 Camry XLE) is supposed to turn automatic Anti-Glare feature off & on,
according to manual. Instead, this turns the compass off & on. Pushing &
holding that button cycles compass into Calibration mode, ...
Price haggling with the Dealer15 Nov 2005 15:55 GMT7
I thought I had negotiated a pretty good price over
the phone for my new '06 Corolla CE automatic with
all-weather package and Convenience package (cruise
with power doors), but now I'm not so sure.
Tacoma Alternator Light comes on intermittently15 Nov 2005 08:11 GMT3
The alternator warning light comes on intermittently on this new (06)
truck, stays on for a few seconds, or a few minutes, goes on  & off
erratically like that for anywhere from a minute or two up to 10-20
minutes - then goes for long periods without coming on at all.  Happens

On my way home from work, I noticed my 2000 Echo was revving way more than

Toyota Cressida13 Nov 2005 17:51 GMT15
I've got a 1991 Cressida. Most times the transmission shifts out fine,
but sometimes it shifts very erratic. A service bulletin I've located
advises to run a new groundwire from chassis to the ECT ECU ground. Can
you tell me where it is located?
No Sludge!13 Nov 2005 16:39 GMT16
Well I finally had to do it.  At 209,000 miles, the original sealant on the
pan was starting to weep . . . .
So we took off the pan to replace the sealant, and guess what, Phillip?  No
sludge.  None at all.  I had them even make a note in the records.

"Dieseling" Concern- Carburetor knowledge required :)13 Nov 2005 06:08 GMT3
I've got a 90 Tercel that's got a severe "dieseling" problem (engine tries
to run despite the key being in the "engine off" position). The only thing
unique is the fact that it *only* occurs at normal operating temperature,
and the problem seems to be accompanied by ...
