Camry Struts..18 Dec 2005 23:28 GMT3
Now that I've had the  timing belt and water pump done, I 'd like to
replace the sluts ..er...struts on my 01 Camry. Does anyone reccommend a
particular brand (?gas?) for a nice smooth ride. Are they the cartridge
type or complete R and R? And whom should I have do 'em?
Diagnostic Code 030418 Dec 2005 17:00 GMT13
Does anyone know the specific intrepretation of diagnostic code 0340. I do
know that it has something to do with a cyclinder misfiring, but what I'm
not sure of, is does that mean that there's a bad coil, fuel injector,
spark plug, or valve? Also, how do I test for problems with ...
Changed Timing Belt, Now car won't fire.18 Dec 2005 16:56 GMT1
Recently changed the timing belt. Now the engine has not compression. Won't
even try to turn over. Just spins. Can someone suggest how to fix this
problem? Or what may be causing it.
brake line18 Dec 2005 15:46 GMT12
Jack mutters:  1993 Corolla 7A-FE (1.8 L), 265 000 km
Your expert opinion is invited:
Brake fluid is leaking in the centre underbody area.  The line(s) are
covered by the plastic strip (with oval holes in it).
What's an effective method to measure miles per gallon?18 Dec 2005 14:39 GMT5
I have a 2000 Camry CE.  I believe it's doing poorly on mileage.
Somewhere between 15 to 20m/G.  The gauge shows the oil by a needle
indicator.  So not very accurate.  What's an accurate way to measure
how many miles my car does on a gallon?

2000 Sienna Misfiring18 Dec 2005 01:57 GMT17
**Update**  To those of you helping me on the last thread, I'm starting
a new one to tell you of my progress, or lack thereof.  I brought my
van to the dealer and had a diag run.  The following error codes were
present.
2000 Toyota Echo fuel economy question?17 Dec 2005 22:20 GMT8
Just purchased a 2000 Toyota Echo for its fuel economy.  The car is rated at
some of the MPG sites at 5.2l/100KM or (54 MPG) on highway driving.  It has
a 45 litre tank and the most kilometres I have been able to get out of a
tank full is 575KM on highway driving only.  Drove from ...
1999 Solara JBL head unit available17 Dec 2005 20:20 GMT1
I just replaced my 1999 Solara "premium JBL audio" head unit with some
aftermarket XM-ready equipment. It was working fine; perhaps someone out
there with a broken/defective one is looking for a replacement -- let me
know, I'd rather not toss it.
2003 Corolla Headlights on in middle of night17 Dec 2005 03:38 GMT11
For the past two weeks, my headlights go on in the middle of the night.
I took it to the dealer, they had it for two nights and said they
couldn't find anything wrong and that the headlights didn't go on.  Has
anyone had an issue similar to this?  I'm tired of waking up to either
Check engine light codes p0441 and p044617 Dec 2005 02:31 GMT4
I have read many horror stories on the internet about these 2 code
having people replace on their corolla:
gas cap, charcoal canister sensor, O2 sensor both before and afte
converter and vacume switching valve. And after paying hundreds to ove
91 Camry.. Barely passed smog test... need suggestions to improve performance17 Dec 2005 02:21 GMT4
I have a 91 Toyota Camry LE.  It has automatic trans, 6 cylinders, and
180k miles.  I have taken very good care of it since I purchased it in
92.  I recently measured its compression and it read 170 - 175 psi on
all cylinders.   I have faithfully changed oil every 3k miles since

1992 Tercel, 30mpg?16 Dec 2005 17:51 GMT4
I just measured my 1992 Tercel mileage. Turns out to be a few miles shy from
30mpg. I expect better than that from a 1500cc engine. Tires are good and
properly inflated. New Oxygen sensor, good cat. converter, new spark plugs,
good wires and rotors, new air fileter.
