03 Camry auto. cold shift problem?27 Jan 2006 19:30 GMT4
I recently purchased this vehicle, 4 cylinder, automatic trans. with
102,000 miles.  I have noticed when the engine is cold, the
transmission won't do a 2-3 or 3-4 shift, I'm not sure which, until
the temp gauge is most of the way up to normal.  There is a 4 lane

Do these use an electronic governor or controller?
2003 LE -- Front stabilizer bar bushing removal27 Jan 2006 06:18 GMT1
Has anyone replaced the front stabilizer bar bushings in the current gen of
Camry 2003-2006?  The bracket bolts point upward in a tight clearance area.
There is also a metal crimp alongside the bushings.
Would it be worth it to change to polyurethane/polygraphite bushings in
{OT}  island  -->joke<--27 Jan 2006 01:13 GMT3
There is this ship that goes out to sea and crashes. 6 people (1 woman
and 5 men) survive and use a safety raft to float to a deserted island.
After spending several weeks on the island, they all begin to get
really lonely-- sexually deprived lonely. So they come to this
{OT}  screw  -->joke<--26 Jan 2006 16:51 GMT12
The Spring of 1957 and Bobby goes to pick up his date.  He's a pretty
hip guy with his own car.  When he goes to the front door, the girl's
father answers and invites him in.   "Carrie's not ready yet, so why
don't you have a seat?," he says.

Proper Etiquette
On the wedding night of the newly wedded royal couple, they wanted to
make sure everything was done according to proper etiquette.
So she begins and says, "Sir, I offer you my honor."

I am a hypocrite26 Jan 2006 03:38 GMT27
With all the sh.t talking I did about GM -well I just picked up a 2006 C6
Corvette. Nothing like 400 Horses and 400 ftlbs torque. And then there is
the possible Lingenfelter upgrade - possibilities are endless. Hopefully the
quality will be better than when I owned first year ...

Bill rents an apartment in New York, and goes to the lobby to put his
name on the group mailbox. While there, an attractive young lady comes
out of the apartment next to the mailboxes wearing a robe.
Bill smiles at the young girl and she strikes up a conversation with

Tires for 1989 Corolla26 Jan 2006 00:25 GMT6
I'm having a bit of difficulty in finding tires for my 1989 Toyota
Corolla (155/80/13). Despite it's age, the car has only 122K miles and
runs perfectly.  I drive mostly 5K yearly in the city and rarely on the
highway; and in Atlanta we almost never have snows. I also plan to keep
Need a scan tool for a '91 corolla24 Jan 2006 23:57 GMT4
I have a '91 Toyota Corolla base model (no PS, A/C, PW, PL, Nothing)
with an 4/AFE engine ~160,000 miles on it. I am trying to find a scan
tool to get info on how my engine is running. Anybody know where one can
find a list of what cars have what OBD protocols? If anybody does ...
Read in The Times (London) today24 Jan 2006 23:54 GMT2
I joined this newsgroup to read about Hybrid cars. I was interested in this
item in today's (London) Times. You may be amused too! (Make sure you read
the last paragraph!)
