engine overheat and cold air: thermostat?22 Mar 2006 13:13 GMT15
Yesterday coming home from work in -10 C, a 26 km drive,
I was getting just cold air threw the heater. I was watching the temp
guage all the way home and as I got near my home about 20 minutes in,
the temp guage on my 88 toyota pickup was at the red line.
Celica overheating22 Mar 2006 13:07 GMT3
My 1991 celica recently had its thermostat replaced along with some
other work to fix its overheating problems (costing me a good 1100
bucks) and my mechanic told me that it was no longer overheating and
that he drove it around to make sure.  yet, once again it is having
True scenerio22 Mar 2006 07:25 GMT4
It's early afternoon. Roads are dry. Speed limit is 50 mph. You're following
behind a propane delivery truck. The tank is separate from the cab. The
truck slows down and moves into the breakdown lane, and while you begin to
pass it, it comes to a complete halt for a moment and ...

1988 Supra factory Wheels, best cleaner21 Mar 2006 14:52 GMT3
I just bought a 1988 Supra, I am trying to restore. I think the wheels
are pewter without a clear coat. I think there are some acid cleaners
that would get these puppies to look like they should. They have a dull
finish and that is the way they should look but I have built up brake
Just bought an '85 Tercel 2wd wagon for $50021 Mar 2006 02:35 GMT11
The paints all worn out, but it runs great, showing 232,000 on the
odometer.
It was stuck in second gear, costing $1,000 to have repaired, so I went
to the wrecking yard and had them put another one in for $440 a few

1994 Toyota Camry problems20 Mar 2006 21:05 GMT10
Several months ago I brought my 4-cylendar, auto-trans camry to a local
shop for major maintenance work (120,000 miles on it).  After the work,
I noticed there are new problems that I never had:
1. Poor gas mileage: 15 mpg. (used to be 22+ mpg)

It turns out Toyota Motor Corp. isn't as strong as it appears in at
least one area -- under the hood.
Power Brakes on '05 Camry???20 Mar 2006 03:32 GMT2
How can I tell if this Camry has power brakes?  The abs light goes out when
car started, but they seem too "mushy" to be power.
I just bought the car used.  But it doesn't feel like any other power
brakes I've had recently.  Even a rented '05 Highlander.
Toyota Camrys to be built at USA Subaru plant20 Mar 2006 03:20 GMT6
It looks like Toyota's Georgetown, Kentucky plant can't keep up with
the demand for Camrys.  I guess that's why we've been seeing some Camrys
in the U.S. coming from Toyota's Tahara and Tsutsumi plants in Japan.
But it looks like the Tsutumi Camrys will be history soon.
