Sorry one message slipped away. Over the last five years various people have tried to sell me on 'power oil changes' - claim is that it will efficiently force all the old oil out and your car will have more power and last longer etc.

What is the correct idle (rpm) for the 1988 corolla? Getting lots of different local opinions. Put on new distributor and wires and the rpm have dropped from 1000 to 800 on a normal warm idle. Is this OK? gary

So... Last month, when doing a complete cat back exhaust repl. on the 92 accord, we discovered that one of my drive shafts was probably almost gone. So... I swapped them with two really nice rebuilt units.

We have two Corollas ( 95 & 96). Both have very low brake pedals. The pedals dont seem soft, but very low. The amount of pedal travel before braking seems extreme. My Camry (92) has a very high pedal and excellent braking. I know to check fluid level, rear brake adjustment,

I'm about to get new 2006 Corolla LE, automatic, with ABS and side airbags for ~$15,700...this is before destination charge and taxes. I'm buying it through online broker (carsdirect.com). Is it a reasonable price? I'm in Northern California.
