Toyota now at #3 in US sales04 May 2006 23:53 GMT5
For April, GM down 11%, Ford down 6.6%, Toyota up 4.5 percent.  For
the first time ever, Toyota (including Lexus and Scion) outsold
DaimlerChrysler AG  (Chrysler, Jeep, Dodge and Mercedes-Benz) to rank
#3 in the United States.
{OT}  leroys  -->joke<--04 May 2006 23:03 GMT2
A woman walks into the downtown welfare office, trailed by 15
kids..."WOW," the social worker exclaims,"are they ALL YOURS???"
"Yep they are all mine," the flustered momma sighs, having heard that
question a thousand times before. She says, "Sit down Leroy." All the
Sources of oil on garage floor?04 May 2006 22:24 GMT16
What are the anticipated and unanticipated sources of oil leaking onto
garage floors from engines etc.?
How much is normal?  At what point should one be concerned -
especially with older cars?  Clear oil would be a giveaway IMHO.

Sienna config/mod?---How to keep power to "car lighter" sockets always on.03 May 2006 20:48 GMT4
2006 Sienna LE(2)
I'm often in the position of wanting to leave my cell phone in the car, and
since they are smart enough to relay off when filled, and lithium ions
actually prefer to be shallow charged often, it will not hurt anything.
Vibrating at 65mph ???03 May 2006 20:34 GMT6
My 1996 Tacoma (94k, V6, ext. cab, LX, 2 wheel drive) seems to vibrate
excessively (truck and steering wheel) at exactly 65mph. On city roads it is
not noticeable and at about 75mph it does not really seem that bad. The
tires were replaced about eighteen months ago and have about ...
1987 Corolla SR5 front suspension repair03 May 2006 20:29 GMT3
This post (hopefully to become a thread) is a follow-up to the (very
short) thread "1987 Corolla SR5 steering repair--need help from
experienced mechanic" that I started after my recent (fortunately
not-too-bad) collision with this car.  The steering is now repaired, but
Removing tape residue03 May 2006 19:15 GMT9
This winter I had a few driver side door freeze-ups when rain was
followed by a sudden freeze.  In an effort to prevent this, I put duct
tape against the window and the door.  When I removed the tape, there
was a white residue left on the door.  What would be the best way to

Vibe, or CR-V.
Need to occasionally carry a few 2x4's so need a roof rack.
Is there something available for the Matrix, especially something that

Prius question03 May 2006 16:51 GMT5
Hi, I don't have much knowledge of gas-electric cars...just wanted to
clarify a couple questions.
1. Is it true that battery pack in Prius needs to be replaced after 3-4
years of usage and that it costs >$5K to replace it?
Oil drain plug03 May 2006 16:09 GMT5
A friend with a 'domestic' truck - one year old.  (don't want to feed
the trolls here)
He has used one of those quick lube places and is suddenly informed
that the female threads for the oil drain plug are stripped.  This is
