Last chance-flush or drain?04 Jun 2006 22:03 GMT10
I have an appointment for Tuesday for transmission service on my 2001
Prism.  I am still undecided on whether to flush or drain.  I'm not
concerned about the cost.  I just want to do what is safest and best.
More opinions please.
Do I know how to jumpstart!!!04 Jun 2006 20:54 GMT20
My old method was to hook up all the cables to terminals except the
last lead and then quickly strike the last terminal.  If that resulted
in BIG sparks then polarity is wrong - redo cables.
This is outright horrible to a modern car with all the computers - I

I have a 2004 Solara that has a SAT button on the radio.  What do I
need to get xm or Sirrius?  Will the dealer do it or are there better
sources for the retrofit?.  I want to keep the radio I have --just as
the SAT radio to it.

Chance of CD melting in hot climates?04 Jun 2006 03:57 GMT46
Typically I will constantly forget to remove a CD from the player.  In
my past the player was located at the bottom of the dash.
On the Sienna 06 it is near the top!
Any case of a CD melting or damaging the player in the hot south or
Add Power seats?04 Jun 2006 03:22 GMT2
I have a 2002 Camry LE and am thinking of adding leather. I've found
some seats from a salvage yard but the drivers seat is a power seat. I
currently do not have a power drivers seat. Is there wiring already run
in these cars for power seats, or would it not be possible to add this.
93 Geo Starter... or Solenoid... or Relay?04 Jun 2006 01:38 GMT4
First appologies if this is the wrong place to ask about the Corolla
knockoff that is the Geo Prism.

7MGE head bolt torque03 Jun 2006 20:59 GMT1
Anyone know if Toyota still specs 58ft pounds for the 7MGE head bolts.  Every thing I read about the issue recommends
68ft pounds but it be nice to know what Toyota did to stop the loose head bolt issue.
Time to R&R the timing belt so I cant see not at least checking them.
Thanks

Brake design question - Ray?  Anyone?03 Jun 2006 06:30 GMT27
With a 4-wheel disc brake configuration, is the braking force (and
wear) distributed more evenly front-to-back than the use of discs in
the front and drum brakes in the rear?  It may be my imagination, but I
think the rotors used on my Scion (all disc brakes) are smaller in the

My daughter has a 2005 Matrix, and was just told (today) there is
