Noisey Highlander Roof Rack13 Jun 2006 23:34 GMT3
We have a used 2003 Highlander that was inherited.     At highway speeds the
wind noise from the roof rack drives us crazy.  Any ideas how to diminish
the noise.
Dealer says OEM part Doesn't exists! WTF!?13 Jun 2006 20:34 GMT3
I need a new front hood weatherstrip for my 1998 Corolla. Called Dealer
and they special ordered. When I went to pick it up, it was the wrong
one. They had the "Radiator Seal", which is seal behind the
weatherstripping ( It has a fold in it ). The one I need has 13 grommet
six-cylinder oil capacity13 Jun 2006 18:02 GMT10
My 2000 Sienna has the six-cylinder engine and I change oil myself.
The manual says with a filter change it takes 5 quarts.  The last
couple of times I've changed the oil it's taken 5.5 quarts.  I've only
had the van a year so I don't have much of a reference to gauge it
Simple battery/alt problem13 Jun 2006 09:39 GMT5
Its the "end of the day simple question" session. I'm guessing i know
the answer already but I thought id throw it to the lions for
suggestions. Battery voltage down before firing up (11.8ish volts) and
only 12.6 while running (if it starts!). Not alternator fault lights.

I am trying to determine the mark-up percentage of the Toyota dealers.  I
looks like its around 9%.
Is that correct?

98 Corolla LE Oil Questions12 Jun 2006 21:09 GMT13
A few questions regarding a corolla's condition. (Note: the corolla was
recently acquired, so no real knowledge of previous service history is
available :-( ).
1) The motor oil dipstick has some black/brown-ish stains on the upper
toyota gas gauges12 Jun 2006 16:32 GMT93
I have owned three Toyotas:  1994 Camry, 1997 Camry, 2000 Sienna.
All three have had inaccurate fuel gauges.  By inaccurate I mean they
do not track properly.  They take a long time to get to the halfway
mark and then go at a much faster rate to empty line.
Maroone Toyota12 Jun 2006 15:52 GMT3
I bought a new 2006 Corolla 2 months ago. Love the car and the
dealership. They have done everything they promised and more.  After
getting jerked around by King Toyota and Lehman Toyota it is nice to
deal with Maroone. Usually we bash dealerships so when one does a good
Suggestions on pricing a Highlander lease??12 Jun 2006 15:27 GMT3
I cannot believe how ridiculously complicated it's become to buy a
Toyota. First of all, we're on like our six Camry, and we've been
pleased w/Toyota's to date. So we decided to turn in our lease and get
a Highlander. It seems almost impossible to determine the dealer's true

maintenance has been done on a 2006' Sienna.

Squeaky power windows..12 Jun 2006 01:10 GMT3
1997 Corolla...strange thing..both rear door power windows squeak when
going up and down. I tried squirting some Blaster Garage door lube in
the channels, but the squeak remains..more noticeable when window is
just about rolled up. Do I have to open the panel inside the doors to
O2/Check Engine  help12 Jun 2006 00:33 GMT2
I had a check engine light pop up on our '04 RAV4. Code scan showed P2238
"O2 sensor 1 bank 1, low Pos current". The code cleared and seems to be OK,
but I want to check for loose wires, etc. Any hints on where O2 sensor #1 is
located?
"Toyota Camry SE totally redesigned"11 Jun 2006 21:08 GMT1
Toyota Camry SE totally redesigned
Toyota deemed that the Camry needed sharper styling and, in some cases,
a more sporting personality to continue its dominance. The result is
the 2007 model, which has been completely redesigned.
timing belt?11 Jun 2006 16:20 GMT4
My son purchased a 1990 toyota camry a few years back with about 120,000
miles on it. Its the inline 4 sedan.
He know has about 180,000 miles on it, and the vehicles gas mileage has
dropped down from about 23 miles per gallon, to about 15 miles per gallon,
chem spray on the bolt and nut for muffler?11 Jun 2006 14:47 GMT4
After 5 years, the bolt and nut on the bracket that is holding the
muffler are rusted off and causes muffler falling off. I find the
similar bolt and nut with grade 8 from Sears hardware store, and have
them installed. Now, the question is whether there is some kind of chem
