5 year alignment plan. Can anybody recommend a shop in the southern
Califronia area (I am about 30 miles south of LA) with good equipement
Damn repair manual is WRONG!12 Jul 2006 06:46 GMT3
The clock doesn't work on my 2002 Sienna.  The official Toyota Sienna
Repair Manual says to check the DOME fuse under the hood.  If the fuse
is bad, replace it.  If the fuse is good, replace the clock.
(I'm not about to spend $$$$ to have a new clock installed when I can
Can I have all "one-touch" automatic window switches? 2006 Sienna LE12 Jul 2006 06:00 GMT2
It seems to me that the driver's one-touch up/down window switch is a purely
mechanical phenomenon at the switch level.  There is a tactile click down
when pressed and up with the window is done lowering.  With the power off,
the mechanical click feels both down and when I pull ...

New RAV4 V611 Jul 2006 23:10 GMT3
RAV4 V6 Limited costs < $30K. It seems quite a bargain for such powerful
vehicle. Is there a catch here? Does AWD work well in RAV4? How does it
compare with Subaru Forester?

95' Toyota Corolla11 Jul 2006 21:01 GMT5
I just redid the timing belt the other day and after I got all the belt back
on the car started up fine for about 10 seconds. It then died and I couldn't
get it to restart. I checked the plugs and found out that it was flooded.
The next morning I took all the drive belts off (not ...
{OT}  menu  -->joke<--11 Jul 2006 20:47 GMT1
Although he always ordered just ham and eggs everyday, one customer at
the diner always studied the menu carefully each day before ordering.
One day his regular waitress decided to see if he could be made to
order anything else. Before giving him the menu she marked out the ham
Pulls to the Right under acceleration11 Jul 2006 20:00 GMT8
I have a '82 Camry with 206K miles on it.  Been a good car except that
a couple of months ago it started pulling to the right a lot.  I have
new tires, balanced and had the front end aligned and it still pulls to
the right.  I normally do all my own mechanic work, but haven't done
Lube every 6 months - based on what reasoning?11 Jul 2006 19:16 GMT44
Oil change and filter every 5k miles or six months.  What if one only
drive 4k - 5k per year.  I know the old argument about moisture
forming in the engine and oil - or is is self preservation for the
auto industry.   Why would that same moisture not be a problem in oil

I'm looking for tires and I'm confused.
I have a 1996 Toyota Avalon 4-Door XLS Sedan and live in South Jersey so
we get some snow and ice, but not usually too much for too long. It's for
my daughter and the car isn't driven very much or very far. I just want 4
My 1985 Toyota Tercel wagon w/auto trans, starting problems11 Jul 2006 05:34 GMT4
On occasion, only after the engine is warmed up, when I turn the engine
off, it will not engage the starter any more.
I put it in park, wiggle the key and shifter and try---nothing.
I put it in neutral, wiggle the key and shifter and try---nothing.
05 4Runner trailer brake11 Jul 2006 05:26 GMT5
I'm attempting to install a trailer-brake controller utilizing the
'male' jumper harness that was included (in the glove box) with the
vehicle. Was hoping someone might have information regarding the
location of the female "service connector" that mates with the jumper
one compressor or two?10 Jul 2006 22:06 GMT11
My 2000 Sienna has water dripping from underneath the minivan where the
engine is and also at the right rear of the vehicle when the AC is on.
There are two separate sets of controls for the climate system
available if I choose to use the other controls.  So does the van have
