Hi I recently bought 89 Celica Convrt. 118k miles. The ac does'nt seem
to work. The ac button on dash doesn't light when depressed. The ac
compressor doesn't seem to engage either.  There is a 10 amp fuse on
passenger side kick panel for ac that is good. Any help in

I'm about to take my prizm to a local mechanic (the dealer says they
can't look at it for a week or so and I'd like to have it fixed by
then) with what to me seems a strange problem.

In the recommended service it says "inpect steering linkage" What
exactly does that mean?

What is it that car dealers do that their cars though old, seem to be in
