Corolla 1990 Wagon03 Aug 2006 04:39 GMT9
Could someone give us an idea what would it take to repair our transmission problem with our 1990 Corolla wagon. When we shift to and from neutral to the other gears it is very difficult compared to before. We recall that the mechanic asked a question a year ago if we had any ...
Anybody here have a Celica GT-S, 2000-03? (buying assistance...)03 Aug 2006 01:53 GMT5
Tried out a 2000 Celica GT-S with 40,000 miles on it.
NOT what I expected from a car with that low mileage!
The rear of the car seemed awful 'busy', with a sound that I can only
describe as a differntial going bad, coming from the rear of the car.
Today was my last day at the dealership03 Aug 2006 00:02 GMT20
Good bye Toyota! I'm off to San Antonio in a couple of weeks for Airforce
BMT (sliding in 2 weeks under the age limit!), then I'll be getting into
aerospace propusion systems. I do love Toyota and all, but the old otto
cycle doesn't really do it for me anymore. Also, if that nutty ...
Exxon Superflo: major brand or off-brand???02 Aug 2006 23:49 GMT2
Exxon is a well-known petroleum company, but their motor oil seems to be
consistently lower priced than the major names (Castrol, Valvolene,
etc.) Why is that the case? At first glance it would seem that their oil
stands a good chance of being equal in quality to the more ...
Oil level question02 Aug 2006 21:54 GMT11
I almost hate to ask this question seeing as how my life has been
spent operating very large aircraft piston engines but I cannot
see what harm might occur to an engine when the CC oil level is
allowed to be higher than the full mark...the only harm that I
2002 Corolla Front DriverSide Wheel Bearing Replacement02 Aug 2006 21:50 GMT9
My Corolla (49K miles no ABS) was giving screeching noise when making hard
right turns and so the left wheel bearing had to be changed. I did think
with a friend .. we had to take out the whole axle assembly. The bearing was
going bad, we could feel a grinding when trying to spin ...

unplugged wires that connected actuator but still could not unlock nor
open door. I manually pushed 2 horizontal metal rod arms back & forth

recently installed a new Sony stereo in my 1993 Corolla Seca (1.6
Litre). Consists of a CD/MP3 head unit rated at 4 x 52 watts, two 6 x 9
inch Sony speakers rated at 50 watts RMS and two 4 inch Sony speakers
No real power from engine before 50K miles?02 Aug 2006 20:03 GMT10
i just bought a Camry 2007 and found that it is much slower to accelerate
than my 2002 version.  I have been told you never get the real power of the
engine before 50K miles.  Is this true?
many thanks!!!
Ping Ray02 Aug 2006 18:18 GMT7
Ray,
I want to drill one or two holes through the bottom of the rear
license  plate - is there anything other than air or an inert filler
between the two layers of sheet metal in the door?

My sunroof is stuck open. The fuses and circuit breakers are all in
working order. The motor doesn't even move when I press a button. How
can I manually close the sunroof? I would like to know ASAP before bad
weather hits - I don't have a garage.
