Glad to be back with my Toyota19 Aug 2006 15:05 GMT25
Here's an example of the little things we sometimes miss in life.
I am just back in the UK (or got back on Thursday morning, when
this airline security business flared up, so crept in under the
wire, delayed 2-3 hours overall but otherwise unimpeded), after
Corolla 1994 oil19 Aug 2006 11:37 GMT20
What thickness of engine oil should I use for a Corolla 94, 4-door
sedan, automatic, 1.6 with 120K miles (the car including the engine is
in very good condition)? I live in Key West and as you know, it's
pretty hot over here. Should I use 10W30, 10W40, a mix of both or what?
Critters in my fan - Ray19 Aug 2006 10:36 GMT11
Last night some critters got in my ventilating fan and apparently made a
nest.  There is a lot of vibration.  How do I get at the fan to clean it
out?  I assume I have to remove the glove compartment.  If so, how do I
do this?
could just be the starter or something else?19 Aug 2006 10:21 GMT4
I own a Toyota supra 87. This afternoon after a long drive (about an
hour) I decided to stop at the store , my problem begun when I tried to

Burning oil...? Faulty exhaust manifold gasket?19 Aug 2006 09:14 GMT12
Hi there. I have a 1990 Celica ST that may be burning oil. It doesn't
seem to be burning the oil too badly because I have not noticed any
significant loss of oil when I check the dipstick. However, I sometimes
can smell burning oil when I have the vehicle running and the hood is
175k Engine oil choices19 Aug 2006 02:49 GMT17
I just now bought a 86 Celica,
want to change the oil, and help
the engine out.
Should I- switch to synthetic oil?
3SFE Engine Motor Oil Dipstick19 Aug 2006 02:48 GMT2
Hi all, I was wondering if there was a place online where I can get a new
motor oil dipstick for a 3SFE engine of a 90' Camry DX or will I just have
to visit my local junk yard to pilfer one?
Thanks in advance,
Price for Replacement Starter19 Aug 2006 02:18 GMT2
My son paid $300 to have the starter replaced (rebuilt) in his 1999
Corolla. Is that a fair price for New York?

'04 Toyota Harrier - Lost Key19 Aug 2006 02:12 GMT1
I own an 04' Japanese imported Toyota Harrier (RX330 equivalent) and
lost the only remote key that came with the car. Toyota dealers in my
part of the world will not entertain me since this is a parallel import
(non-official). I've been quoted about $1,250 to change to whole
Corolla 1994 1.6 Automatic Differential18 Aug 2006 21:57 GMT3
Does the Corolla 1994 1.6 automatic have a differential?
How is the differential serviced?
Does the differential maintenance need just new fluid or is there
something else to do?
Air condition fault on Avensis18 Aug 2006 18:22 GMT1
the airco on my Avensis '98 has stopped working. There is light in the
button when turned on but the airco does not engage. The
electromagnetic clutch does not engage (no click sound) and the rev
does not increase in idle which normally happens when turning on the
