Intermittent no-start condition30 Sep 2006 02:42 GMT12
My 2000 LS with 86 K miles has had 3 widely spaced occurrences of no-start,
where the starter bendix drive engages but the starter does not turn over
the engine.  Playing with the ignition switch and bumping the starter
eventually gets the starter to engage.  Battery voltage is ...

I purchased a '96 Camry a month ago that has developed overheating
problems. I changed the radiator and thermostat and still had
intermittent problems. A Toyota dealer diagnosed that the head gasket

A spreadsheet I did up to check the mileage on the Scion:

Rear Brakes/ Parking Brake29 Sep 2006 18:50 GMT8

I have new shoes and turned drums. No leaks, relatively low fluid. Two
(or three) questions:
The parking brake lever works, and spreads the shoes, but doesn't hold
Tacoma Stereo System29 Sep 2006 16:50 GMT14
Would it be worth the dough to spring for Toyota's optional upgraded
stereo system for the Tacoma, or would I be better off going with a
third-party dealer to install a killer sound system?  I particularly
want to integrate my iPod with the stereo system, and I don't believe
2007 vs. 2006 Tacoma29 Sep 2006 16:05 GMT2
I'm headed out to the Toyota dealerships this weekend and I'm wondering
whether there's any compelling reason to buy an '07 instead of an '06?
My guess would be they'll be offering decent incentives to buy an '06
at this point.  Are there any new features in the '07s?
Expensive repairs29 Sep 2006 13:00 GMT3

the new ones painted and a small spot on the right front door plastic
