Funny how you notice things more after you fix a problem...28 Sep 2006 15:08 GMT2
My experience with the alternator/battery makes me almost panic now
when I turn on the headlights and the clock dims.  Cars really play
psychological games on you don't they?  LOL
So far problem's not returned, but I'm ever watchful of that damned
Camry 2007 XLE V6 with Navigation and Stability control - Fair Price?28 Sep 2006 14:24 GMT2
I want to buy camry 2007 XLE V6 with Navigation and Stability control.
That's about 31,000 MSRP. The quotes I got from a couple of dealers in
the New York City area are close to that MSRP price.
What is a fair/good price for this car?
1992 Toyota Celica ST w/1.6L engine28 Sep 2006 03:50 GMT6
I could really use some help.  I lost power and the car wouldn't
start.  I  checked the computer and the only error code was the vacuum
sensor.  If I unplug the vacuum sensor on the firewall, the engine
will at least start but not rev past 1,200 RPM.  I now have a new $360
Corolla Front End Noise28 Sep 2006 03:40 GMT24
I have a 93 Toyota Corolla DX, Auto transmission, 202,000 miles.
There appears to be a humming noise coming from the front end.  It
sounds like a low frequency helicopter blade spinning about - like a
'whomp whomp whomp" sound. If you listen closely, it occurs at all

A140E Transmission Knocking & Smoking27 Sep 2006 20:38 GMT5
The transmission on my 1997 Camry with 120,000 miles stopped going forward
after a short period of slipping into 1st.  I could have driven around the
neighborhood in reverse though. I decided to rebuild it myself I always
wanted to learn about transmissions! I must be gluten for ...
Leaving the oil cap off27 Sep 2006 19:08 GMT15
I had an oil change done on my `96 Camry recently at my regular mechanic,
and shortly after I noticed that they forgot to replace the oil cap. It was
lying elsewhere in the engine compartment, so I put it back. The oil
dipstick shows that I still have plenty of oil (I had not driven ...
Why buy a Prius now, when-27 Sep 2006 17:23 GMT22
Toyota will soon come out with a built-in solar photovoltaic roof panel
on the car and a bigger capacity battery!
Depending on how much sunlight falls on the panels why being driven or
parked- you'll get up to 30 miles on  FREE SOLAR ENERGY from the
Bought a basic Yaris sedan27 Sep 2006 14:26 GMT10
Yes, we dived into this head first, and for the last 4 weeks are very
happy with its' performance. Gas milage is amazing (don't have exact
numbers yet, but if we went 200 km on ~1/4 tank, that is something -
will have more details next week on actual consumption). Accelaration
2002 Highlander Transmission27 Sep 2006 04:16 GMT6
Getting ready for winter!  I have an '02 Highlander V6 with 22,000
miles on it.  I want to change the transmission fluid and filter
(already did the rear differential and the transfer case).  Somewhere
I read that Fram makes a good filter kit for the Camry, but the local
93 Corolla - gas pedal "sticky"27 Sep 2006 04:01 GMT8
Except that it isn't literally "sticky". I cleaned and lubed the
throttle cable, and it's perfectly OK as long as the engine is off.
With the engine running, when you're at a stop light the pedal gets
"sticky" and requires a relatively hard push to get moving again.

Windshield glass distortion on 2007 Corolla26 Sep 2006 21:07 GMT2
I just picked up my new 2007 Corolla today and as I was driving home I
noticed that the windshield glass was distorted.  I mean if I moved my head
from side to side a bit I noticed a marked distortion in the optics of the
glass.
