I have a 96 Tacoma with manual locks and windows.  I want to convert it
to power locks.  I would also like to add an alarm system.  Are most
products compatible?  Will actuators from one company work with modules
from other companies?  Should I try to get everything from the same ...
Is this Toyota dealer dishonest or? pART 210 Oct 2006 00:26 GMT1
After a talk with "Bernie" who gave me all kinds of answers - but not
to the questions I asked.
I then called and finally got a hold of the Gen Mgr for the dealership
as planned.    My first question to him was "Who determines the

How come it's OK to be gay, unless you're in Congress?
All I have heard about (esp here in Mass) is Gay this and Gay that, and we
need to raise 'toleance levels' for Gays, "Queer Eye for the Straight
Guy", Gay marriage in Massachusetts, GAY GAY GAY GAY GAY GAY Until I want
2wd with locking diff or basic 4x4?09 Oct 2006 15:41 GMT2
I do a lot of driving on desert dirt roads to get to hiking trail
heads.  Most of these only require 2wd with high clearance, but the

roads, although sometimes sandy.  Even if I have 4x4, I'm just not

Can I do something about that ...I often stop the vehicle and have to remember, if I sit in it and listen to the radio or wait for someone, to open the door to make the running lights or headlights shut off...can I overcome this or can it be programmed out by the dealer ??

sienna headlights will not turn off09 Oct 2006 00:06 GMT1
For some reason the headlights on our 99 sienna decided they want to
stay on all of the time. The van is equipped with the
daytime-running-light system. I have downloaded the schematics from
alldata.com and techinfo.toyota.com. I have traced the problem back to

As a True Hetero, I don't like to see women harrassed, regardless
if the women are Nominal Heteros, True Heteros, or Gay women for that matter.
Our friend Gary B. obviously is a Nominal Hetero (not a True Hetero)
as he pathologically harrasses a certain nurse in this ...

Toyota Sienna: start and then shut off08 Oct 2006 19:51 GMT1
I have had a used 2002 Toyota Sienna ( 68k miles ) for about a year and

arrived, the van was shut off for about a couple of hours...then the
van had trouble running. It would start, but immediately shut off. If I

you try to sell it?  i.e., is the cost generally recovered?  What has been
your experience?
Thank you very much for any thoughts,
{OT} Pay it Forward (this is a cool story)08 Oct 2006 00:01 GMT5
Great story from one of my workmates:
That reminds me though of the story I meant to tell you about paying it forward.
