Replacing a bulb behind climate control on 2003 Sienna25 Oct 2006 23:11 GMT1
How do you remove the trim from around the climate control area on 1
2003 Sienna? I need to get back there and change a bulb that has burned
out. Is it like the old Camrys? Just carefully pop it off with a screw
driver? I tried but I don't like prying and yanking too hard for fear
cold tire pressure for 2004 sienna25 Oct 2006 23:00 GMT1
I have factory original michelin tires on my 2004 sienna. The manual
says 35 PSI. I checked a couple of tires with an analog gauge and it
came up with 31PSI. I always assumed they inflate tires to proper
pressure when I do oil change at dealership. Should I add more air to

Our forgetful chiefs of state....
"stay the course" has been a part of GWB as his ever-present smirk for three

TTY bolts?  Are they marked?25 Oct 2006 14:52 GMT3
Is there some obvious markings on Toyota bolts (head bolts in particular)
that allow the quick and easy identification of torque to yield (TTY) bolts?
Or... Is it more that Toyota always use them, or have done so from a certain
point in time?

2001 Lexus25 Oct 2006 04:27 GMT4
I have a 2000 Avalon which I am thinking about replacing. It's running
fine btw. Anyhow, the dealer I got my Avalon from (endearing motto of
"Ugly but Honest") has a 2001 one-owner Lexus with 24,000 miles for
$27,000. I'm not familiar with the designations but it's the top one I
15A fuse sparks and blows when changing25 Oct 2006 03:41 GMT7
I lost power to the the radio of my '02 Tacoma while driving. Noted
that the dome light and clock were also not functioning. I located and
pulled the 15A fuse labled "DOME" (under the hood) and noted it was
blown. Tried changing out with a new fuse, however, each time there was
Advise on finance question25 Oct 2006 02:09 GMT15
Should I have 1K to reimburse a loan, should I give it to my mortgage which
still has 20 years to go, or to my car loan which has 4 years to go?  They
both have 5.8% cost.
Many thanks!

TTY?  Are these on all Toyotas?24 Oct 2006 12:52 GMT5
Greetings again Brains Trust!
I was wondering about the prevalence of the Torque to Yield Bolts (TTY)
(specifically head bolts) on Toyotas.
Firstly, when did they become common parts, was this during the move to

{OT} Yet another OT; Gerry Studds "Husband" denied Survivor's Pension24 Oct 2006 01:31 GMT17
Gerry Studds, 'married' in 2004 to his 'husband' (does that mean Studds
was the 'wife'?) did not pass along his Federal pension to his 'survivor',
a Federal judge ruled yesterday. The Federal Government, abiding by the
Marriage Protection Act, does not recognize gay marriage, ...
{OT}  my rant24 Oct 2006 01:29 GMT243
Most of you probably didn't expect to hear this from me but I have
become fed up with the Bush Administration.  It's not for the same
reasons the regular detractors use to justify their hatred of President
Bush, but more for his ineffectiveness in handling three core issues
