rethreading a spark plug valve05 Nov 2006 19:33 GMT22
My spark plug fell out the other day.  When I put it back in, it will
screw in, but it is very loose.  I bought a rethreading kit the other
day, but seeing as it is the last valve on a V6, I think I'll have to
take the entire engine out to tap the reathreading tool in correctly.
Starter issue 91 Tercel05 Nov 2006 09:22 GMT5
My daughter's 91 Tercel seems to need a starter every 12-18 months.
While the waranty always covers the cost, I am curious would might be
the cause of always replacing the starter.  Has anyone else run into
this issue or might have an idea as to why the need for so many
{ot} security05 Nov 2006 01:14 GMT18
So for all the whining about North Korea and Iran developing nuclear
weapons, the Radical republicans of congress apparently decided the enemies
of peace were taking way too long to make something really dangerous, so in
the sprit of international cooperation and traditional ...
Upgraded the Honda04 Nov 2006 19:11 GMT12
Got a 2002 Accord EX.  64k miles.  Bought a 2yr/24k warranty with it.
Solid white.  Ghetto fabulous.  Selling the '92 Accord LX (solid white,
around 220k, can't remember) to the mailroom guy for his sister.
The '95 Corolla is still putting merrily along.
Replace valve body on A541?04 Nov 2006 18:40 GMT16
Four years ago I bought a '95 Lexus ES300 that shifted very smoothly
but had dark brown transmission fluid. I had  the transmission
power-flushed on a T-Tech machine and immediately thereafter the shifts
became harsh and slightly erratic. Somebody suggested that dirt

97 Tercel:  Been sitting, runs rough, ODD PROBLEM..read on...04 Nov 2006 03:06 GMT21
OK, at least this seems odd to me:
Looking to buy this particular car from a friend.  Have not witnessed
this problem personally.  This is second hand info from a trusted
friend.  However (apparently) once before after sitting for several
03 Corolla keyless entry - headlights come on (!)04 Nov 2006 01:54 GMT1
If anyone else has a newer Corolla with keyless entry/security
(RS3200), do your headlights come on when you use the remote to lock
the car after you get out? I've seen this done on many other cars but
it's getting annoying for me and I was wondering does the RS system
Electric sideview mirror04 Nov 2006 01:35 GMT4
My 1988 Supra's driver side mirror is electric and seems to be in good condition.
But it has always had a bunch more free play than the passenger side mirror.
When I touch it with my finger there is not enough free play for my view to be changed but
driving over the highway dots ...

How much pressure is in the transmission cooler hoses leading to the radiator03 Nov 2006 04:35 GMT23
I just replaced the radiator on my 95 Camry 4 cyl.  I used new hoses
for the upper and lower radiator feeds and 2 new hoses for the
transmission cooler.   I had a little trouble with the new transmission
cooler hoses engaging them as far onto the fitting as I would like.
wrong charge to a battery car02 Nov 2006 22:11 GMT7
A towing company try to charge my dead battery and when they did, they
burn the wires, starter and alternator.
They said that they have nothing to do with that because my battery
didn't have any marks at all.
