car troubles23 Nov 2006 14:22 GMT6
Something is wrong with my car (1988 Toyota Camry) and I thought this
sounded like a group that would know what the problem is. I'd like to
have some idea of what the problem could be before I take it into the
garage.
Just recieved extended sludge warrenty from toyota....23 Nov 2006 06:08 GMT4
1 week after I sold my 97 Camry XLE V6 120,000 miles, last night I got a
letter from Toyota saying the Camry was covered for 8 years if any
Sludge/gelling occures.
The new car I just bought, a 2002 Avalon XLS, should be covered by the same
Needed: New or Used 87 Supra Factory Repair Manual22 Nov 2006 21:44 GMT4
I need the real deal.  1987 Toyota Supra.  I have the Chilton and
Haynes books.  Total crap.
I've checked eBay and Google and can't find anything.
If somebody has one for sale, I'd be interested.
{OI} Bush fulfils campaign promise22 Nov 2006 21:09 GMT4
"W" promised to be the "Uniter" if elected in 2000. It appears he has made
good finally. Liberals, Conservatives, Democrats, Republicans, Neocons,
Henry Kissenger, Barry McCaffery and many others all seem agreed: George's
handling of the Iraq War is a debacle and that he might as ...

2003 Corolla--poor bass from speakers?22 Nov 2006 17:10 GMT11
Has anyone noticed poor bass from their speakers in the 2003 or later
Corolla?  The highs and midranges sound good for a stock sound system, but
lately I've noticed the bass tones have been sounding pretty muddy, even at
pretty low volumes (I've never gone higher than about 1/3 ...
Post-flood Corolla22 Nov 2006 15:20 GMT13
So, I drive a 2001 Corolla, keep it in great shape, and what happens?
We get 3 inches of rain in one afternoon.  The interior is destroyed,
carpets and seats are soaked, and were still wet the next morning.  I
thought that it was okay otherwise, but now the SRS warning light is

Here's a data point on how biodiesel seems to be spreading, as
reported on BBC-tv today (14 Nov)...

How often for wheel alignment?22 Nov 2006 02:46 GMT13
My wife took our new Camry 2007 SE V6 in for oil change at 5,000 miles
and the dealer tries to pressure her into an alignment saying she
"needs it everytime she does an oil change."  Luckily she gave me a
call and I told her no and it's bull that you need it every oil
{OT}  secular hypocrisy22 Nov 2006 00:19 GMT6
Here is an interesting article pointing out the hypocrisy of today's
secularists when they try to claim that religion is responsible for
more deaths throughout time and that if God was removed from the social
psyche their would be no mass violence today.  He claims atheism is the
This Tablet Really Works in all Vehicles21 Nov 2006 18:32 GMT4
I am new at this and didn't grow up with the computer and really need
to learn the rules for posting. After reading a bit, it seems we all
are concerned with the gas prices and mileage.  It is called the MPG
Cap and it really works. Some people are not concerned about the
'95 camry wagon spring upper seat21 Nov 2006 05:27 GMT1
In my 1995 Camry Wagon I changed my front struts and springs and the
drivers side did not have a Spring Upper Seat in it. The passenger side
had one. The Haynes manual shows one (not side specific), but I've also
seen an online Camry repair manual that didn't identify one. On the

I recently switched to this oil when Monroe advised it for my 1995
GPS Navigation any good?20 Nov 2006 13:27 GMT24
Are the GPS packages really any good?  The GM thing can apparently be
miles off or slow.  Same difference.
The stand alone ones run $400-600 so at that price one may as well get
a laptop based one - with a GPS package.  What works?  Did a google
