New Prius owner - 2 questions05 Dec 2006 19:39 GMT21
We recently bought a Prius.  After disabling the backup beep,
we're very happy with it and all drivers are getting > 50 mpg.
I have two questions that I can't answer by web search:
1) Why is the R N D lever (reverse neutral drive) backwards?

Toyota Oil Filter05 Dec 2006 04:15 GMT6
I have read several test reports e.g.
http://www.mr2.com/TEXT/oil_filter_test.html
That indicate the Toyota filter is "inferior"  I'm hoping to find a good
aftermarket for my  RAV4 V6 but since it just uses a filter element (not
Irritating Toyota TV ad05 Dec 2006 01:24 GMT12
Am I the only one who is irritated by the recent Toyota TV ads?  I refer
to the one that starts "come on" followed by a womans voice singing an
irritating song.  I can't wait to hit the mute button when it comes on.

Anybody got a Suby or an AWD Corolla or Tercel Wagon for sale?04 Dec 2006 16:50 GMT3
ARRRGGGHHH...Replacing the water pump on my POS Voyager, I broke a bolt
off in the block, and it won't come out.
I'm taking this as an omen, since the steering was getting wonky anyway.
To the scrap heap tomorrow! But, I'm taking off my new brakes, just in
Horrible Toyota Reliability!04 Dec 2006 01:14 GMT39
Damn....my '92 Corolla Wagon has a faulty muffler at just about
200,000 miles.
I had that damned thing replaced at 65,000.....
Oh well the replacement and labor are free....
Very disappointed with Toyota04 Dec 2006 00:21 GMT62
Like I said before my wife's the Toyota person, I'm more of a Honda
person, but anyway to make sure I'm happy every night we have bought
2001 Toyota Corolla and recently 2007 Toyota Camry SE V6.
Ok, my wife had a 1990 Toyota Corolla and never have a problem.  We

Car jerk (yank, twitch, hitch, jerk) during constant speed03 Dec 2006 19:23 GMT1
Note: English is not my first language.
I have one 1998 Chevy Prizm (the same as Toyota corolla),
automatic transmission, only 77,000 miles.
A month ago, I had someone changed the front brake pads for me.
Toyota Starlet headlight03 Dec 2006 19:12 GMT1
How are these supposed to be removed?
There is a rubber cover on the back on the headlight.  From the manual,
it seems to imply that it should be just pulled off.  Is this correct,
as the force that will be needed could tear it ?

Anyone know if Bluetooth is available on a 2007 Avalon?  I can't find
it on Toyota's website.  Bluetooth does seem available for every other
model that I checked.
