Headlights won't go off with ignition on Avalon25 Dec 2006 18:27 GMT8
I have a 97 Avalon.  The headlights are supposed to go on when the ignition
is turned on, and turn off when the door opens after the ignition is turned
off..  On my 97, this usually happens, but occasionally (especially in
winter), the lights remain on and drain the battery.
Highlander headlight adjustment25 Dec 2006 04:35 GMT4
I've searched the Net and haven't found any info on how to adjust the
headlights on a 2001 Highlander. There are no visable screws to turn. I
do see "up - down" and "left - right" on the top of both lamps but no
opening to adjust them?!? Anyone know where the adjusting screws are?
04 T4R Sport vs. 05 T4R SR5 - Help25 Dec 2006 02:04 GMT2
Hi, I'm a newbie to this forum, so sorry for the dumb question. I'm in
the process of buying a T4R and I am presented with two options, and
could use some input. Here the options:
1) 04 T4R Sport Edition with 19,000 miles - lease turn. This vehicle
Fork clutch spring keeps coming off....??24 Dec 2006 23:19 GMT6
I replaced the clutch in my 1997 4runner 4 cylinder engine. The problem
is that the fork clutch spring (spring that attaches to the throw out
bearing) keeps coming off. The clip is a U-shaped wire clip.  This
spring seems secure, but when install the transmission it comes off at
Oh, dear...well I don't feel too foolish...24 Dec 2006 22:42 GMT25
beacuse whoever put in the LAST thermostat did the SAME THING!
Near as I can tell, the t-stat slipped and didn't quite line up as it
should have. The machined lip that was supposed to hold it wasn't as deep
as they usually are, so when I fitted the gasket and put the cover on, it

Scion xBox - Hey Don Fearn...24 Dec 2006 18:24 GMT33
One of your fellow xBox enthusiasts nearly caused an accident at two
intersections this past Friday.
First he swooped across four lanes (solid white and yellow lines), then
darted in and out of traffic, including up a blind hill, where he nearly had
Corolla Front Door Replacement (door skin ws. door shell)24 Dec 2006 06:35 GMT5
After minor accident I'm facing a task of replacing my Corolla 96 front
door. I was able to find multiple "door skin" parts on internet, but
I'm not sure if that what I need. The pictures do not show any back
side details of the door skin, and I'm not sure if that is basically
Overheat (?) problem. How to tell if fan clutch is bad?24 Dec 2006 04:33 GMT14
I have an '89 Toyota Cressida and the temp guage has started indicating
a hot condition. It'll run way up to hot and then dip. Sometimes does
it at speed but usually more at low speed/idle. In that respect it acts
like you'd normally expect in an overheat situation, however I put in ...
1990 4runner v6 automatic wont move?24 Dec 2006 03:05 GMT5
Fluid is full but never gets warm/hot on dipstick. I think the pump in
the transmission isnt working.   Where it the pump?  Can I get to it if
I pull the pan?? Thanks:)
flywheel clearance23 Dec 2006 22:06 GMT3
I noticed that after I replaced the oil seal that there is very little
clearance between the flywheel and the oil pan on my 1997 4runner with
a 4 cyclinder engine. When I pulled off the flywheel there was no
spacer. There is only about 2-3 millimeters of clearance. This seems
toyota automatic starlet cd23 Dec 2006 21:41 GMT2
my car won't start every time. It will usually start 1st thing but if I
leave the car for 1/2 hr or more then try and start the car again it won't
turn over. I did put it in gear then back to park which seemed to help
somehow at 1st but now it won't start until about 6 or more trys. ...

Unfortunately, by the time one killfiles the top-posting twits and
the OT political dweebs, there remains precious little reason to
continue to monitor this group. Frankly, I for one could care less about
