2004 Avalon - Tuning FM radio to unused station?17 Dec 2006 01:29 GMT9
I'm setting up a GPS/DLO combination in my 2004 Avalon and seem to be
having difficulty tuning to an unused station.  It appears the "TUNE"
button on the radio will only stop on frequencies that appear to have
a signal (e.g. the radio is on 88.9, I select the TUNE button and the
Mold in my duct work question? Ray O?17 Dec 2006 00:29 GMT3
My '05 Tacoma seems to have developed a problem. I diligently run fresh
air through the system with the AC off a few blocks from home. I never
get that musty odor (mildew). It hasn't been hot enough to have a
reason to run the AC for a few months now here in the northeast. I've

BRAKE QUESTION -- Not Toyota, but general physics applies16 Dec 2006 22:24 GMT3
I bought a new set of brake rotors for my car. For an extra $25 for the
entire set, I got rotors that are slotted and cross drilled, and nickle
plated -- hopefully to prevent rusting on the portions that are not friction
surfaces.

1991 Camry wagon - good deal?16 Dec 2006 04:22 GMT17
I'm looking for a older station wagon for local errands, and I like
Toyotas. Someone is selling a 1991 Camry wagon with 190,000 miles, for
around $1,000. The owner says it runs well, but it has some rust on the
body.

Power Stirring15 Dec 2006 22:29 GMT8
I have a 1995 Toyota Avalon, and I'm experiencing a problem with my power
stirring. After the car is started and the stirring wheel is moved the
slightest, the power stirring makes the same noise that's made when the
stirring wheel is turned as far as it will go. I've checked the ...
Prism value15 Dec 2006 17:04 GMT8
I couldn't get anywhere on google.  What is the value of a 2001 Prism
with 50,000 miles.  This is a basic car with AC, rear window defogger,
AM-FM radio (no tape or CD).  Condition is good.

Re-called Landcruiser15 Dec 2006 04:25 GMT6
Apparently it was the rear driveshafts/halfshafts. They replaced them, did a
full wash and valet and basic safety check inc pads/tyres/lights etc and
gave it back with an extra £15 fuel and a bottle of champagne. Cant
complain!
Replacing Control unit lighting15 Dec 2006 01:47 GMT5
Hi, I am interested in changing out my lighting on my control panel for
a 2003 Toyota Tacoma Pre-Runner Double cab truck.  I read you can
replace the lighting on the dash paneling.  I pulled off the heater
control unit cover and notice that the back of it has orange coloring.
'89 Corolla trouble code #25? (carbureted California car)15 Dec 2006 00:04 GMT12
1989 Toyota Corolla SR5, Carbureted 4AF, California emissions, 146k
miles, runs great, thanks largely to all the help I've gotten from this
newsgroup since buying the car in 1999.

a new power steering pump and rack14 Dec 2006 23:47 GMT1
My 93 v6 camry has had a power steering leak for some time now.  I keep
fluid in it and I haven't really worried about it until I had an oil
change recently and the mechanic said that I need to get the power
steering pump and rack replaced.  He has quoted me $450 for the
Corolla '97 Power Steering Oil14 Dec 2006 23:35 GMT6
My daughter's '97 Corolla power steering is rather stiff when it's cold,
e.g., 15°F or lower. It's fine after driving the car for 15-20 minutes.
Would replacing the power steering oil make a difference or is the stiffness
caused by the rack and pinion?
