1990 Camry auto xmission question09 Jan 2007 05:58 GMT4
I have a 1990 Camry 4cyl auto (A140E) transmission that won't shift into
drive.  All other transmission functions work okay.  I have done some
research and think there may be a shift solenoid problem inside the
transmission.  Is this an expensive fix.
Interference or Non-Interference? look here!09 Jan 2007 02:21 GMT5
Have a question about whether your car is an Interference or N-I engine?
Go to Autozone and look up the belt! If the engine is Interference it will
tell you "Interference Application".
95 Corolla Radiator Repair?08 Jan 2007 23:39 GMT13
I recently took my 95 Toyota Corolla to a toyota dealership to repair a
squeaky belt that was causing my power-steering to go out. While the
car was their, one of their mechanics said he noticed a hole in the
radiator. They are suggesting that they install a new radiator at $617
Holy Crap! Up to $165 in parts...08 Jan 2007 23:34 GMT8
And I'm doing the tune up myself! Now, I get my parts at wholesale, so I
can't even imagine what dealer prices are!
The only plugs I can get for my Supra are $9 each, a total of 6. That's
$54, just for plugs. The price was the same everywhere, but the dealer
2007 Toyota Tacoma odometer08 Jan 2007 23:03 GMT16
After purchasing the 2007 Tacoma I noticed the miles were starting to
pile up in a hurry. By checking the mile markers on the highway I found
that for every 10 miles I drove the odometer read 13.8. As this was
going to make a significant reduction in warranty mileage, I contacted
Greyhound and DLR's08 Jan 2007 21:22 GMT5
In the late 50's or early 60's Greyhound ran their coach's with
headlights on. There was a significant ( to them ) reduction in their
accident rate. At that time only motorcycles had lights on in daylight.
There were so few vehicles using DRLs that it caught everyone's

99 camry - engine light on - strange situation08 Jan 2007 19:46 GMT6
I've a 99 toyota camry, never replaced the battery so far. I usually
leave the day time lights on (switches automatically ON when the engine
is started, and switches off
automatically when the engine is shut down). This morning when I was
Camry vs Accord08 Jan 2007 07:08 GMT84
I am in the market for a new car and am debating whether to get the Camry or
the Accord. I have had Toyotas, but, no Hondas. I realize I am posting to
the Toyota group, but, I still want to ask this question.
Overall, which car is better the Camry or Accord? In southern California ...
rough idle (toyota corolla 1995)08 Jan 2007 06:59 GMT3
The idle sound is much loud than before in the morning worming time.
Even during driving when I stopped in front of red light, the rough
idle sound was pretty loud and I could feel the steering was vibrating
a little due to the rough idle.
98 Avalon Battery Replacement08 Jan 2007 06:49 GMT3
Do any precautions need to be taken before disconnecting or reconnecting the battery that would effect the alarm/security or any other computer system on my 98 Avalon?  Someone told me that they couldn't start their car after replacing the battery and had to do something with the ...
Tensioner Leak07 Jan 2007 12:59 GMT6
I was at the Toyota Dealer today as my car was making a noise.  I knew
it was a belt of some sort.  The service person told me that I needed a
belt ($150) and that my tenisioner was leaking ($400).  I told him to
change the belt but I would check on the tensioner elsewhere.
My Prius lost its mind this morning07 Jan 2007 12:44 GMT20
Got into my 05 Prius about 7:00AM - - it was cold in the garage - - the
hi/lo thermometer showed a low of 38 deg. f. I punched the "ON" button (with
my foot on the brake pedal) to start the car . The first thing I noticed was
the "brake" light was lit (odd, I never use the parking ...

How to replace premium sound head unit on a 2000 Camry?07 Jan 2007 04:56 GMT9
Premium sound is JBL and the 6-CD player/radio is now dead. I have removed
the existing 6-CD radio but do I need to bypass the existing JBL amp? Anyone
know how to replace this unit with an aftermarket radio/cd player? Thanks.
