{OT} Congressional Maths05 Jan 2007 13:15 GMT12
Maybe one of our mathematically minded OTers can help me: this is
the 110th Congress; and the whole USian circus got rolling around
1776 ISTR; and this is 2006/7; and each modern Congress lasts two
years.  Where are the missing ones?  Were they extra-longlasting?
{OT}  Denver Weather Bulletin05 Jan 2007 06:05 GMT4
The "Mile-High City" just recovered from an historic event - maybe even
a "weather event" of "Biblical proportions" - with an historic blizzard
of up to 44" inches of snow and winds to 90 MPH that broke trees in
half, knocked down utility poles, stranded hundreds of motorists in
Plug Wires...OEM or NGK?05 Jan 2007 03:06 GMT6
I ordered a gasket, cap, rotor and valve cover gaskets from Champion
Toyota in Texas. The wires are $85...they're going to have to wait for
another day.
"No Name" wires (I'm assuming they're Toyota) are selling various places

I guess it's a Toyota Concept called the Volta. It's a 'Hybrid Supercar'.
Looks good to me. But, if it's a Hybrid, there goes the price. The last
'rumor' car was a bit nicer looking, and supposedly priced at about
{OT} Oh, Boy! New toy! (NOT a car!)05 Jan 2007 02:52 GMT66
Went to my favorite place yesterday...Salvation Army. They had an Early
'80's Realistic receiver there for $5. I tried it with some speakers on
the shelf and only one side worked, then realized it was one of the
speakers that was bad. When I used two good speakers, all four channels
Here's a question for you all...05 Jan 2007 01:12 GMT5
On Family Guy tonight, Brian (the dog) was driving a Prius.
So, how come the credits listed Adam Carola?
Rebuilt engines - good or bad?04 Jan 2007 19:52 GMT5
I'm looking for an older, inexpensive station wagon (Corolla or Camry,
if I can find one). A lot of the cars I'm seeing have rebuilt engines,
even when they're not that old ( a friend is selling a 1997 Escort with
97,000 miles and a rebuilt engine and transmission).
New 06 Sequoia: Question on Tow Hitch04 Jan 2007 19:30 GMT8
Just bought a new Sequoia Limited with full two capabilities but it didn't
come with the actual Ball Mount Attachment.  Is this something I need to
pick up separately to fit the trailer I'm going to two, or should this have
been included with the truck?

I've wanted to make a little toy for quite some time now, but I'm
having trouble locating information on my car.
I've got a 1991 Toyota Corolla. I would like to make an interface that
can read from the ECU to get current speed and fuel consumption so that

Incredible disappearing oil mystery -  2001 Corolla04 Jan 2007 04:32 GMT12
Three months ago I purchased a 2001 Corolla with 80k on it. I have now
discovered that it burns oil to the tune of 1 quart per 200 miles.
Please consider the following facts: The car runs great. It has no oil
splatter anywhere underneath or under the hood. The parking spot is

Made a huge mistake with battery - please help03 Jan 2007 16:56 GMT3
I will try to avoid unneccessary details. I removed the battery from my
1995 corolla and when I connected it back, I connected the wrong cables
to the wrong terminals. In my defense, both cables were taped black.
Now the car is completely dead. I did correct the connections, it is
