For you Apple snobs with more money than brains08 Feb 2007 19:50 GMT21
In what could prove to be the most embarrassing misstep in consumer electronics history, Apple Inc. announced today that it would recall its entire production run of the Apple iPhone after discovering that it had failed to include a "phone" feature in the much-hyped handheld ...

What I found:

2003 MR2, 10w30 ok ?08 Feb 2007 16:09 GMT6
The subject says it all, this is in the southwest, where temps never
drop below 25 (night) in winter and summers hit 100+ 3 months of the
year.
Is it okay to use 10w30 instead of the 5w30 mentioned in the manual ?
Repeat after me..SUVs are not omnipotent!08 Feb 2007 12:00 GMT31
A little snow, a lot of morons:

There were lots of assorted idjits on our roads, but the SUV/minivan drivers
were the most dangerous and arrogant.  It was all I could do to keep from
RAV4 ECM upgrade08 Feb 2007 06:16 GMT6
I just received a recall notice from Toyota asking me to get my dealer
to reload my 2002 RAV4's ECM with new, "corrected" software.  At issue
apparently is a misleading ON condition of the malfunction indicator
light.  Fair enough, though I presently do NOT have the false ON
2000 4Runner time to replace battery??08 Feb 2007 05:00 GMT4
I have a 2000 4Runner Limited with about 34000 miles. Still running on the
original battery. that would make it 7 years old this January!
I live in the northeast and although it's been starting every morning in the
cold, it sounds like it's saying "the end is near!"
More on Oil Filters08 Feb 2007 00:54 GMT23
One thing that has always aggravated me about oil filters on Toyota and
many other makes is the placement or orientation of the filter. Why do
manufacturers insist on orienting it in such a way that I always get
oil all over the engine? This is one area in which my old 67 Ford ...

{OT}  joesparebedroom threatens lives07 Feb 2007 15:35 GMT23
JoeSpareBedroom has a serious problem.  He has threatened people's
lives on this newsgroup before and continues to do this with impunity.
Only last night he threatened to send someone to my home to kill me.

Fuel burning smell06 Feb 2007 19:58 GMT1
Lately I have started to notice that my car gives off a "fuel burning"
smell after a drive. Its a 1993 Toyota Camry V6. I have kept this car in
running condition for over a year now. I have had things like hoses
replaced, timing belt replaced and also the transmission replaced in ...
Oil Filter Wrenches06 Feb 2007 05:31 GMT28
Very frustrating day.  All I want to do is change my oil/filter in my
new 2007 Matrix.  65mm filter wrench is slightly to large.  Won't
remove the filter.   Can't find anything smaller [63?].   Anyone know
of a filter wrench that works on the OEM toyota filter without
