new Prius prices24 Feb 2007 16:58 GMT37
Local Toyota dealer (SF bay area) is advertising new Prius at $22999.
Someone we know just bought one for around $22 grand.  What gives?  Didn't
this car recently sell in the high 20's?  Thanks.

Further to the aftermarket clutch findings24 Feb 2007 00:04 GMT1
You may remeber I found some conflicting info about the Celica
Alltrac/GT-Four clutch spline sizes according to a few sites quoting Aisin
(OEM) numbers and other aftermarket manufacturers.
Well I eventually got hold of the Aisin cataloge and found all of the
Are any Toyota products sold in US not made or assembled in US?23 Feb 2007 21:19 GMT36
Are any Toyota products sold in US not 'made or assembled' in US?
Half the parts likely come from China, Mexico and similar places.
Where would this kind of info be found?  Just looking for some rough
numbers for an argument.
Oil change rubber cup tool23 Feb 2007 21:09 GMT1
I seem to remember there was a simple but useful tool that was
sold--it is a rubber cup that allows you to unscrew an oil filter
without dripping the oil...the rubber cup is grippy enough to allow
you to grip and unscrew the filter, yet it captures the oil that drips
91 Camry LE,  Need advice re: testing and changing injectors23 Feb 2007 20:26 GMT1
I have a 91 Camry LE with 190k miles.  I have had problems with fairly
high hydrocarbon levels when taking my emissions testing in the past
and I suspect that it is leaking injectors or perhaps poorly spraying
injectors.  Anyway, with 190k miles on the car, I figure the injectors

2000 Sienna 105K miles
Got a tuneup today and had both valve cover gaskets replaced.  Engine
idles much higher than it did before.  When warmed up and in Neutral or
Park it hovers around 1000 RPM or just a tad higher; I am used to it
More on Prius cruise control23 Feb 2007 19:49 GMT13
In another recent thread, the question came up of how to restore
the set cruise speed, after interrupting it.  AFAICT nobody came
up with the answer, although several people were puzzled by this
apparent lack.
New series Avalon wiper blades23 Feb 2007 18:02 GMT10
I had heard horror stories about these new blade's prices.  Since it has
been thru 2 hot summers here in Redding (Ca) and starting to streak, I
shopped.
I found them at Tirerack and damned few other online places.

mounts.

'99 Camry22 Feb 2007 20:19 GMT10
My daughter called me, nervous as can be, and said she was in the emergency
lane because her steering wheel was shaking uncontrollably from 55 and up. I
said to take it easy and I would look at it when she got to my house.
To make a long story short I took it out for a spin and ...
