05 Sequoia: what engine oil?31 Mar 2007 21:52 GMT4
I want to change the engine oil in our 05 Sequoia prior to a long road
trip. I don't know if the engine has synthetic or petroleum oil in it
now, and I've heard you're not supposed to switch back and forth.
Any ideas for how do I determine this?

1999 RX 300 O2 Sensor31 Mar 2007 16:23 GMT3
    I was helping a friend replace his O2 sensor in a 99 RX 300. I
had a very difficult time all the way through getting the sensor out
with the little room to move a wrench but I did finally get it out.
When I tried putting in the new one, it would catch on the threads,

(non-Toyota post) Water heater advice?30 Mar 2007 19:03 GMT15
I have a question about water heaters.  I apologize for posting to the
Toyota NG but there is no water softener group.  I know a lot of the good
folks here are do-it-yourselfers so maybe one of you will know the answer.
As you know, water softeners get mineral deposits that ...

I'm saving a lot on gas...but my loan payments are a lot higher than they
would be for a normal economy car; non hybrid. Prius?
What's the moral of this story?   Pay the oil boys or pay Toyota.  But
you're gonna pay!
Horn doesn't work30 Mar 2007 15:50 GMT8
My horn does not work and we checked all of the obvious, fuses, etc.
All good.  A mechanic said that because we have air bags the repair
would be costly and it needed to be done with at an electrical
repairshop.  Can I buy some kind of replacement horn and by-pass the
"Total Loss" replacement vs. trade-in value?? 753630 Mar 2007 15:29 GMT1
Apparently, insurance company repairs as well as 'total loss' claims are lowballed as a general practice.  I just read an article at www.claimsreporter.com that says that you can get on average, the ~$2K difference needed to get a replacement ride (vs. trade-in)... for sure, if ...
