Have a 2001 Prizm. Great car. 170k miles. Well taken care of. Recently, on
two occassions, when cold starting in the morning, ambient 40 degrees, it
nearly starts, then dies. Cranking three times for 5 seconds each, finally
starts but acts like it's flooded. Stumbles/missfires ...

Wondering if someone could help me diagnose a problem I just had with
my Corolla. It only has 28000 miles on it and I drive it at least once
a week. Got in today started it, put it in gear and it wouldn’t move.

I need some help! When I start my car lately it squeaks extremely loud
from what it sounds like the belt. The problem is I have lubricated
and put so much belt dressing on the belt and the parts around it that
it couldnt be the belt. What else could make a very intense squeaking

My 1998 corolla suddenly stopped while on the road driving. It
happened when I was turning into freeway. It was 20-25mph when
turning. The car engine stopped without any warning and the car spun.

The problem was with the distributor orifice itself.  When I bought the
motor, it arrived dripping oil as it had fallen over in transport.  It ad
bent the gearbox/back of the crank cover plate and put a ding ...

When running tank low on gas then refueling, car has hard time
starting. When it dose start idle is real low.

Are bigger ( higher capacity ) alternators very expensive and hard to find
for the 93 Corolla 1.8 liter EFI?
I have an 120 VAC air cleaner in the back seat, running off an inverter,
and when I also have the lights on at night and the rear window defroster

Where is the cabin air filter located on 2002 Avalon.  Also any
special instructions for replacing?

Another of those random questions I'm afraid. Having recently broken the
thermally activated vacuum switching valve for the charcoal canister system
and priced them up at Toyota i nearly fell off my seat. I then priced up the
one-way valve used in the system which has also failed ...
