2002 Toyota Corolla inner CV boot clamp04 Mar 2007 14:52 GMT3
Today I had my oil changed and the tranny fluid flushed.  They noted
that the right inner CV clamp was leaking grease.  I guess they said
the boot(s) were OK though.
I guess the clamp is about $5.00 but they mentioned maybe needing 2

$240?!03 Mar 2007 23:23 GMT32
Isn't $240 a hell of a lot of money for a valve adjustment? I was thinking
more in terms of maybe $75? Do they really get that much?!

Electric grease?03 Mar 2007 23:12 GMT3
I'm not much of a car buff but back a few years ago when I went to a
shop and they replaced a battery cable, one thing they did was put
this grease on the battery terminals and said it would help keep
corrosion down and provides for better connections between the cable

Sienna purc in May 06 not beaten by YE03 Mar 2007 17:56 GMT7
I purchased an 06 Sienna in May of 06 ($18,888net) - thinking I was
paying a 1k premium by not waiting until Nov or Dec of 06.   The fact
is that this price has not been beaten to this date.
Was there something different about that model or year that resulted
ON Topic!! Red Antifreeze available (relatively) cheap.03 Mar 2007 14:18 GMT25
CarQuest stores are now carrying REAL Toyota Red Antifreeze for under $20
a gallon. IIRC, a few people have mentioned the dealers want >$25 a gallon
in some cases. (um, since I get a discount, I paid even less).
It's there for the taking! IIRC, Sale price was $19.42 a gallon.

My 98 Corolla LE haven't start for 9 months (I just came home from my

it. It looks like the batery is holding power, however, when I turn on
the key, there wasn't any light (check engine, airbag light ....) on ...

it with they keyless entry.  Anyone know what is going on.  We only
'87 Corolla FX-16 - hey Hachi!02 Mar 2007 04:33 GMT3
I'm down in Florida visiting my mom, and she says the FX-16 is running hot.
She was told it may be the thermostat, but guess what...

extended warranty?01 Mar 2007 23:25 GMT3
what does Toyota want for an extended warranty now?
I expect that would be offered/pressured after one buys the car and is doing
the paper work.  If reasonable, Id like to consider it but want some idea
before deciding to buy.
