{OT}  making it real24 Mar 2007 19:20 GMT32
Getting an ultrasound is a normal part of most pregnant women's journey
into motherhood. Now, some state representatives want women considering
abortions to view images of their fetuses before a decision is made.

Info on '96 Tercel CE24 Mar 2007 12:55 GMT3
Can anyone describe the model changes in the '90s Tercels?  By model
changes I mean major body/engine changes.
I'm looking for a rear window glass for a '96 Tercel but I need to
know what model years will fit it.
rebuilding advice needed for 1985 corolla, 4A-C engine, 2BBL carb24 Mar 2007 06:57 GMT3
My 1985 corolla with 4A-c engine, federal emissions, Rear wheel drive, 2
barrel carburetor is running very rich.  I don't know what the problem is,
but I figure I'll wind up tearing apart the carburetor to fix it.  I could
use some guidance.  I spent $27 at AutoZone for a GP ...
Why tire is unrepairable24 Mar 2007 03:51 GMT20
I brought my Toyota with flat tire to Costco and they said that it has
two holes that are too close to each other -- in 1.5 inch. That's why
it's unrepairable.
I am just curious, why they can't repair such tire?

...steering belt.  I have tightened the serpentine drive belt but that
does seem to fix the problem.  Is the Power Steering belt to blame?
If so, what is the easiest way to tighten it.  This is my wife's car
and when we had the timing belt replaced, the drive and PS belts were

Suggestions on Replacement Axles23 Mar 2007 20:19 GMT4
Well, the boots have blown on my 1996 Camry axles and its time for
replacement.
I'm going to go ahead and do the axles, not just the boots sonce I'm
thinking the labor will offset the part prices.
squeeky springs23 Mar 2007 19:48 GMT4
Ok, I love my new struts, sincerely.
But....
My bumpy driveway can make my springs squeek and I can make them squeek by
strongly bouncing bumpers.
Any interest in an owner's satisfaction survey?23 Mar 2007 19:16 GMT14
I'm working on a survey to collect owners' satisfaction levels on
their cars.  The results of this survey would help people find out
what cars other drivers are most happy with.  To be useful, though,
many people would need to answer the questions - as honestly as they
Toyota Previa Shift Linkage Adjustment Automatic Transmission23 Mar 2007 19:07 GMT2
My Haynes repair manual indicates I need to adjust the "shift linkage"
on my Previa. It has a close up diagram of the shift linkage. I'm
dammed if I can find where the heck this is on the car however . There
is no description or diagram to help narrow down where the shift
Q: new shocks/struts - when?23 Mar 2007 15:17 GMT49
How do I know when my car needs a new set of shocks/struts?
The car is a 2001 Corolla CE, 121,000 miles. The suspension feels
pretty soft - much softer than that on my 1992 Civic LX (222,000
miles.)
{OT:} Who saw the Governator this AM?23 Mar 2007 00:03 GMT26
BWAHAHAHAHAHA! Gotta love Arnie!
"What do you think about Rush Limbaugh and others saying you're a Democrat
in Republican's clothing?"
"Rush Limbaugh is irrelevant. I answer to the people of Cali-Fornia"
The Flying Walindas22 Mar 2007 23:12 GMT5
While getting an oil change, I don't like seeing my car hoisted
by its petards eight feet into the air.
I prefer the Walmart Way:  the tech goes down to the basement
and works on the car through removable grates in the floor.
{OT:} Pols serve up Patrick Jokes for Breakfast22 Mar 2007 18:19 GMT1
Deval Patrick was served up at a St. Patrick's day Breakfast Roast the
Governor attended. He was the brunt of many jokes, according to the AP
story.
But the part I found particularly interesting:
Parasitic current  on a 2004 Sienna22 Mar 2007 16:36 GMT36
I have had a battery go dead in my 2004 Sienna twice after it was not used
for 3 to 4 days. I know nothing was left on, because the console light
control switch was set to off, making sure a door not being completely
closed would not turn on any lights. In talking to my dealer, ...
