{OT:} LFG: Think Green27 Apr 2007 04:43 GMT6
Interesting show on the History Channel, Modern Marvels. They're talking
about LFG: Land Fill Gas. Land fills throw off Methane, a worse Greenhouse
gas than CO2. By tapping the landfill, they are able to collect the
Methane, keeping it from escaping into the atmosphere, and, in the ...
To adjust hot or cold?27 Apr 2007 04:06 GMT1
Continuing on with a thred that disappeared somewhere...
OK, Teggers was pointing out that valve lash should be adjusted when cold.
This has how I have undertaken it on several motorcycles as getting it to
temp with the cams out, tank off etc to get at the shims is impossible

Emission Test - MAJOR HEADACHE26 Apr 2007 21:32 GMT11
I just bought a 1994 Camry LE 3.0L and it failed the Ontario Vehicle
Emissions Inspection to my surprise. It went from barely failing to a
major headache.  Hope someone can explain to me what is going on
here.
Timing cain/belt26 Apr 2007 21:10 GMT1
I am wondering about my 98 Toyota Corolla. I have read that it has a timing
chain, not a belt. Is this correct?
{OT}:  Dingy Harry strikes again26 Apr 2007 20:11 GMT203
'Twas bad enough when he said the war in Iraq was lost.
Man the Dims really do want to replay Vietnam, don't they?
Those who fail to learn from history are doomed to repeat it.  And the Dims
never seem to learn.

A Financial Times investigation has uncovered widespread failings in
the new markets for greenhouse gases, suggesting some organisations are
paying for emissions reductions that do not take place.
Gas usage on departure???26 Apr 2007 04:24 GMT28
Maybe some of you who love cars can explain this too me. Do you lose more
fuel if you take off faster from your location? i.e. intersection? Does it
matter if you gas it or creep?
make sense?

2003 Corola (Brake Question)26 Apr 2007 03:01 GMT8
I have a 03 Corola LE with 54K miles.   Never a problem.   However,
recently, my front left brake, periodically, makes a very slight, high
pitched squeek---that almost sounds like a record needle going across a
record.   The noise is not loud, and doesn't sound like a bad rubbing ...
2004 Corolla clutch question26 Apr 2007 02:15 GMT4
All the action on my 2004 Corolla clutch occurs at the very beginning of the
pedal travel - just a very short press will disengage it, whereas most cars
seem to have the action inconveniently near to the floor.
Is this a problem? what does it signify?
