My 2001 corolla has 72K miles on it. Recently I ham hearing some

1990 Celica GT-S18 May 2007 17:34 GMT15
I just bought a 1990 Celica GT-S.  It has a five speed and driving
home I saw it was running around 3000 RPM between 65-70 mph.  This is
a much higher RPM than I have seen in other Toyotas I have owned.  The
speedometer was dead on accurate on its speed.  Should I consider this
Replacing Vent Window ('95 Prizm/Corolla)18 May 2007 17:24 GMT5
The vent  window (little triangle) was shattered, and I need to
replace it.
The lowest estimate I got so far is $169 for an at home service.
However, I think I can buy the window for $40 online, including

The URL says "pickups" but it's all types of vehicles.
I'm surprised Toyotas weren't on the "highest rates of driver death" list,
since they tend to be rather small.
Horn intermittent - not the spiral cable17 May 2007 21:15 GMT9
Ok, my 97 Toyota Avalon horn only works intermittently when I turn the
steering wheel.  After $500 later and the Toyota dealer changing the
spiral cable it still does not work.  They said my steering wheel was
bent and I needed a new one ($900).  This didn't make sense, so I
Toyota 50th Anniversary17 May 2007 19:00 GMT8
Toyota is advertising their 50th Anniversary.
Now, I know Toyota was making cars prior to 1957. They had been making
them in Japan and selling them in Asia since 1937 or so. So, it should be
their 70th or so anniversary.
Chrystler Math..?17 May 2007 15:53 GMT9
The announcement of the sale of Chrystler is no suprise. But they said
it was purchased for 36 billion 9 years ago and sold for a little over 7
billion?? How is that possible..? Am I missing something. That is a huge
loss...

{OT}  pelosi's procedures17 May 2007 13:55 GMT2
I see Mrs. Pelosi has started to back down from her claims of Congress
working in a bipartisan matter from now on.  Apparently she has become
so frustrated from her inability to twist any more arms that now she is
going to change House procedures to prevent the minority from having ...

found the lost the rear bolt on the air filter housing.  Does anyone
know the size of this bolt or where I can get a replacement?

long-lived chrysler16 May 2007 15:36 GMT19
I drove an old lady's Chrysler minivan last night that had 191K miles
on it.  It was one of those that has thin headlights, mid-90's model I
think.  Anyway I was rather impressed with its solidness and lack of
rattles, squeaks, clunks, etc.  She was the third owner and said all
