{OT} Further proof of how low Coulter will go28 Jun 2007 02:12 GMT77
I don't usually post political stuff, but this made my blood boil.  She's
picking on a woman who's probably dying herself, and who lost a child.
However, please don't think I'm saying the "victim" angle is at least
somewhat political on the other side as well.  Also, MSNBC is a ...

RAV 4 blows lighter fuse27 Jun 2007 17:59 GMT6
My g.f.'s '98 RAV 4 blows lighter fuses instantly when the lighter or a
power adapter (cell phone, ipod, etc.) is plugged in. Is this a known
issue; if so, what? If not, suggestions on best place to look or test
methodology would be much appreciated.
MDF Speaker adapters for my tC27 Jun 2007 17:27 GMT9
Same header in alt.binaries.images.fun, Pt 1 and Pt 2
When I got my tC, I liked a LOT of the things about it...except the stereo.
The speakers sounded like they were made of Swiss Cheese. So, I found a
pattern on the 'net, took some old shelving I had hanging around and made
1990 Corolla: fix tranmission, or junk?27 Jun 2007 17:13 GMT9
This is so depressing.
My 1990 Corolla (4 door, DX) is having transmission problems.  It makes
a squeaky, whirring, slight grinding noise when coasting at low
speed--at highway speed it's a nerve wreaking loud sound I don't even
RAV4 Transmission Behavior Problem27 Jun 2007 14:19 GMT13
Vehicle - 2007 RAV4 FWD (2WD) 4 cylinder, automatic.
Problem - When the cruise control is used, the transmission
downshifts/upshifts frequently when small inclines are encountered. If
the cruise control is not used, the transmission does not shift in the
Mass Air Flow Sensor27 Jun 2007 13:36 GMT5
A few weeks ago I posted a thread about my '01 Corolla stalling when first
started (see O.P. below). It's now been to the shop several times and the
latest thing they've thought it might be is the mass air flow sensor.
However, this is an expensive piece. What exactly does this do ...

Sway bar bushings make THAT much of a difference?!26 Jun 2007 11:57 GMT3
I had to replace another axle yesterday, and noticed the guy who replaced
it the last time lost a LOT of hardware! A couple pieces were the collars
that hold the sway bar bushings in place.
Well, naturally, I couldn't get just the collars, so I bought a
2008 Audi A5 and S526 Jun 2007 03:05 GMT15
It comes as no surprise, then, that Audi chose the S5 as the launch
model for its new A5 coupe range. The S5 goes on sale here in November
and will be joined...

{OT}  new york, new york26 Jun 2007 01:41 GMT21
NEW YORK - New Yorkers: They're smug, egotistical, and already think
they run the country (if not the world). So what's the rest of the
nation to do now that three of 'em are mentioned as White House
hopefuls, ready to swap Penn Station for Pennsylvania Avenue?
(OT:) A gold star day at my house!25 Jun 2007 23:33 GMT18
I hate it when software companies know what *I* want better then I do!
First, I did an 'upgrade' on my Windows 2000 "Garage Computer"
It loaded a 'new' video driver and on the reboot munged the screen
horribly. I reset the driver to one that works, and when it reboots it
Paint Jobs25 Jun 2007 22:13 GMT12
What are some of the best national companies to get paint jobs with?
What should one make sure is done by the paint business? Any advice by those
who have worked in body or have had their vehicle painted?
What is the typical cost of having a economy sized car painted?
