No spark on 7MGE engine22 Oct 2007 18:09 GMT4
Attempted to fire up a newly rebuilt 7MGE and seem to have no spark. I
pulled the coil lead and duct taped it so the contact is in close
proximity to a nut on top of the shock tower, cranked the engine in a
dark garage with my head outside the car watching and no spark
Cleaning out the airduct?22 Oct 2007 17:56 GMT24
Okay, well there is that mildew smell I have smelt while turning on the
airconditioner in one of our vehicles. Some have said to clean with a mild
solution. Now, excuse my ignorance, but I have no clue where to start. Is
this directly where the air filter is?
Question for Qslim, MDT, etc, 2005 Scion tC22 Oct 2007 16:54 GMT8
My tC is a pretty decent car, on par with my Corolla GTS and maybe even
the Supra.
However, the gearing is horrible! I think they geared it high to give the
impression of being 'peppier' than it is. I have to admit, it worked,
Saving Fuel Myths22 Oct 2007 14:46 GMT7
I cannot say for sure if this is true or not, but I have heard many people
suggest that they roll all of their windows down and turn off the AC to save
fuel. I can only think that does nothing. The wind drag must make up for the
AC not being on. What do you think?
MP3 and 4Runner22 Oct 2007 13:40 GMT1
Does anyone know how to get an iPod working with a 2008 4Runner (may be
the same in a 2007 4Runner)? I see there is an auxiliary input jack,
does that play or play and charge (I assume play only)?  Is there a way
to keep the iPod charging (otherwise this isn't too practical on a ...
12 volt battery in 2003 Toyota Prius22 Oct 2007 07:17 GMT3
I  had the 12 volt battery replaced in my 03 Prius with a new 12 volt
battery.  I drove 4-5 miles, turned the car off.  When I started it up
again  20 minutes later  all sorts of warning lights appeared on the
dash (instrument cluster) and on the multi-information display.  With

About the 12 year old and 2 year old.22 Oct 2007 00:54 GMT40
I think what Fartus Ignitus did by posting below was show the imaturity of
most far leftist. Why does this deserve it's own thread? Because the other
one is laced with lies and liberal ploys.
What the Democrats did was employ a child to say that the healthcare system
JoeDopeBucket (spare bedroom)***flush***21 Oct 2007 15:41 GMT23
Finally killfiled (ignored) his a.s. I don't have time for ridiculous
questions that have nothing to do with the topic that go unanswered for 6
months.
I laughed when Joe asked a question and said that he would wait for
OT~Republicans Cut and Run21 Oct 2007 05:49 GMT10
WASHINGTON -- This is crunchtime for members of Congress who must decide
whether to seek reelection next year or leave office, and so far
Republicans seem to be lunging for the exits. Sixteen GOP lawmakers have
decided to throw in the towel on their Capitol Hill careers.
Automotive related: I would think twice before naming a model this...21 Oct 2007 05:05 GMT19
While on a service call the other day, I couldn't help but notice with
some amusement a Chevrolet pick-up truck with an interesting 'trim level'
name.
I think if I were GM the LAST thing I would name a model would be...
Smells Like Smoke20 Oct 2007 23:45 GMT8
I bought an 04 Avalon awhile ago and really like it. The PO, however,
was a smoker and the car has that smoky odor. Any ideas on how to get
rid of it. So far I'm using this stuff called Zorb and spraying it in
the vents under the hood. The car has leather but of course the
Higlander non-hybrid: vinegar smell?20 Oct 2007 15:28 GMT8
My 2006 non-hybrid V6 AWD Highlander seems to have lately emitted a smell
that I can only describe as vinegar.
Anyone experience this "smell" and what do you attribute it to?  Time to
take it in I guess - can any place work on and fix this or am I better
1992 Corolla brake lights20 Oct 2007 12:54 GMT15
I notice that the brake lights stay on regardless whether the car runs
or not and lights are turned off at switch.   While it is still dark
where I am this morning, I noticed a tail light (brake light) burnt
out.  I will replace it later today (regardless of the answer) but
Poor acceleration 1990 22RE truck20 Oct 2007 06:09 GMT1
I have a stubborn problem with acceleration on my 1990 4x4 Toyota
truck with 22RE engine.
It has poor acceleration in almost any gear UNTIL I either floor the
accelerator OR the RPM climbs high enough (perhaps over 3000 rpm?).
