{{ OT }} Nancy Pelosi Smacked Down ...13 Oct 2007 02:34 GMT1
... by the Supreme Court, no less. What a loser!
A kid that made Eagle Scout requested a flag that had been flown over the
Capitol. The kid made the request through the proper channels, and all was
well until they packaged his flag and mailed it to him.
Which 2008 Corolla?12 Oct 2007 17:46 GMT11
Is Toyota building what they are advertising on their web site for 2008,
or is the rumor (http://www.corolland.com/corolla/2008.html) of a new
body style (the interior shot has Avalon similarities) and a CVTi
transmission the real story? I think that the new ones come out in
Damn liberal web sites...OT12 Oct 2007 13:52 GMT42
...damn liberal Marine Corp Commandant.  How dare he think the troops
are stretched too thin.

Ridiculous.  He's likely a covert peace pussy.
04 4runner wheels oxidizing?12 Oct 2007 12:33 GMT6
I'm looking at a nice 04 4runner with 4.7 V8 4wd Sr5.  It only has
about 32k original miles and is in great overall condition.  When I
looked at the wheels (5 spoke aluminum I think) I noticed there was a
sort of  "bubbling oxidization" forming on the inward edges  of the
Toyota Yaris ---Question12 Oct 2007 04:51 GMT15

(OT:) Hillary says, "Do you want change?"12 Oct 2007 03:49 GMT47

Last time you and your husband were in the White House, all I *HAD* was

(OT:) Climate Change called  "Climate Porn"12 Oct 2007 02:38 GMT19

This person says that the Alarm Button is being pushed too hard, that Man
is NOT the cause for Global Warming, and in fact, there's not much we can
do.
Avensis warning light on but no fault code found11 Oct 2007 12:05 GMT15
Avensis 2001
Mileage 115,000
One month ago, warning light comes on.  Service is due anyway.  Regular
garage (not Toyota dealer) does service, identifies faulty oxygen sensor
All Volunteer Military a Failure10 Oct 2007 22:19 GMT210
I think we can do away with the notion that an all  volunteer Military
is viable in a war situation.  If our volunteer Military branches were
sufficiently staffed for a war situation we wouldn't need 180,000
private contractors in Iraq and Afghanistan, and we would not need to
IIHS vs. NHTSA car safety ratings10 Oct 2007 21:03 GMT15
The ratings for IIHS and NHTSA don't seem to mesh with one another.
Does someone know any testing or rating specifics that could account
for the discreptancies?
For example,
My Corolla won't accelerate anymore10 Oct 2007 18:19 GMT1
My 2001 Corolla with 90K won't accelerate above 60 mph, it makes a lot
of noise when I tried to accelerate and the speed stay around 55 mph.
My 2000 Corolla had similar problem and had it fixed for mass airflow
sensor, do you think that the same happens to my 2001 Corolla?
Air Filter10 Oct 2007 17:30 GMT17
I'll probably stick with the stock, OEM air filter for the
Camry, though I'll likely change out the stock oil filter for
a Mobil 1 or Amsoil model--probably the Amsoil because the
Mobil oil filter has rough threads, not as smooth as I had

Odd subject line created so this wouldn't get blended into the previous one
of the same name. :-)
Here's what happens when the administration is desperate for exciting news
releases, and ends up shooting itself (and the whole country) in the foot:
Volkswagen Regrets10 Oct 2007 12:52 GMT76
I have heard stories like the following non stop...
"The VW Jetta wagon that my wife and I purchased a year and a half ago is a
piece of junk. It's the worst case of buyer's remorse we've ever had. It's
given us no end of trouble. Recently, for instance, the catalytic converter
