'08 Corolla vs '07 Corolla08 Oct 2007 05:22 GMT8
I need to get a new car and was wondering if anyone has experience pro
or con with the '07 Corolla against the '08 Corolla in terms of
performance, comfort, etc.
The dealerships around her (northern NJ) have few '07s left so I'm

What's this odd buzzer on '89 Cressida after engine install?08 Oct 2007 02:52 GMT1
I'm in the final stages of an engine reinstall in my '89 Cressida and
hooked up the battery to crank the engine to get some oil pressure
built up. As soon as the system was energized, I  started hearing this
"buzzing" and at first I couldn't tell where it was coming from.
1990 Camry, 4 cyl. 2.008 Oct 2007 02:51 GMT7
So I posted a week ago about my Camry having starting and drivablity
issues.  I took her in and one guy said fuel pump and everyone else
said no...either the pump works or it doesn't.  I took her into a new
guy and he sanned her (the other idiots who claimed fuel pump said
Serpentine belt07 Oct 2007 21:06 GMT2
How common a problem is it for a 2006 Toyota Corolla to have problems with
the serpentine belt now working?

4runner engine light and traction light on07 Oct 2007 17:58 GMT2
I have a 4 runner 04 50k. I was driving today and the engine light and
the traction light went on, w/o reason. A few weeks ago I had and
issue with the tire pression sensor, I took the car to the dealer and
they fix it, but at the same time the traction light went on. The

Brake Pads07 Oct 2007 01:19 GMT24
2004 Avalon
I picked up a set of Toyota pads for my Avalon (man those babies are
pricey at $53 per pair). Anyhow, any tips on changing them? The rotors
look good and neither end is squeeling yet. Thanks.

1991 Cressida Timing06 Oct 2007 22:52 GMT3
I have a 91 Toyota Cressida that I'm replacing the timing belt on.
But I cant find any timing marks to line up.  Can someone please tell
me how to set the timing on this 24 valve Dual Cam beast?  Are there
marks that I'm not seeing?  Or is there a secret?
Brakes going?  2000 Echo06 Oct 2007 06:58 GMT52
I think the brake pads are trashed in my Echo (it'll be 8 years old this
month, since I bought it October '99).  The first time I heard the noise
while braking, I thought a *fighter jet* was flying overhead!
Here is a clip (actually several clips together) I shot with my camera -
1989 Corolla FX (NOT 4AG...) made...by...NUMMI!?!?!?!06 Oct 2007 06:57 GMT3
I thought all the FXs were made in Japan. I helped a kid who had broken
down, and when I opened the hood I saw the NUMMI tag!
I didn't know NUMMI made these, and I didn;t think they could make
anything right. Then again, it only had 99987 miles on it...
2000 Toyota Camry Tail Light Out Indicator Stays On06 Oct 2007 03:02 GMT4
I helped a friend change one of the corner lights on her 2000 Camry,
putting in a #194 for a #91. However, her bad light indicator stays on.
She says it does flicker some, and I suspect that the t-connector for
the trailer lights may be a culprit, but didn't have time to check
