tire depth for state inspection?27 Nov 2007 18:01 GMT19
I just have my car done with PA state inspection, the garage warned me
that my car's tires are  worn too thin(they barely passed the
inspection)  and should need new tires very soon. Then, I have tire
rotated at walmart, the tire depth reading for all 4 tires of my car
Horn and emergancy flashers27 Nov 2007 06:45 GMT2
I have a '92 Celica.  I don't have any horn or emergancy flashers.  I checked
the fuse and it is o.k.  I haven't checked to see if i have voltage there or
not.  I was hoping someone else had the same problem with theirs and knew
what the fix is??
Okay, what's the truth about engine break-in?27 Nov 2007 05:50 GMT25
There seem to be two camps. I've seen those that advocate stomping on
the engine to high revs and backing off in the initial break-in
because of some alleged benefit.
Then there's a more traditional school of thought, such as this post:
{OT}  anti-war bombs27 Nov 2007 04:14 GMT10
Americans are smarter than the lefty elitists like to admit.  All the
propogandized anti-American movies coming out are bombing big time and
the liberals can't understand why.  This is a good sign for the
upcoming election.

08 Scion XB- Test Drive27 Nov 2007 01:05 GMT10
After reading a bit about the Scion XB on Edmunds, I realized it's one
of the few vehicles made today that I'd consider buying.
My current '01 camry has 139k on the clock and needs an engine seal and
a valve cover gasket (other than that all it's needed has been a tail

** France to unveil air-powered car **
Engineers in France believe they have come up with the answer that
environmentalists and economists have been searching for years.
1994 4x4 pickup DriveTrain Question26 Nov 2007 18:21 GMT13
Recently bought a used 1994 toyota 5spd  4x4 pickup with manual
hubs...  I need either an owners manual or a faq or somebody to tell
me the ins and outs so I don't screw it up!
My assumptions are:  you stop, put in neutral, go rotate the hubs from
self-adjusting drum brakes on 2003 Matrix?26 Nov 2007 16:31 GMT2
So the question is: how do you adjust the brake shoes on the rear drum
brakes of the 2003 Matrix? I've heard (and read) everythineg from
driving in reverse, applying the parking break to "you just have to set
them manually".
GM-Toyota plant hid defects, suit says26 Nov 2007 14:27 GMT1
This story finally showed up locally today, although it seems to have
been "broken" on the Tuesday before Thanksgiving. At first I assumed
the lady was a UAW plant, but she worked at NUMI for 23 years. Seems
like a long time for a "spy" to wait around.

This is such dead-on satire, I had to share it.

Premiere Toyota service26 Nov 2007 01:01 GMT369
Well, I got the Camry's oil changed today after only
2,800 miles.  Had the Toyota dealership dump out the
Mobil 1 and replace it with Pennzoil Platinum.
I also had'em replace the almost 2-year-old cabin
Previa Winter Tires25 Nov 2007 20:27 GMT6
Can anyone help me with this dilema?
My story: I have had my 96 Previa in Chicago for years now and love it -
except when there is packed snow and ice. Believe it or not, that's not
usually a problem, even in Chicago. It's hardly snowed for the last few

Maybe I'll get one after the kids leave the house.  I think it's neat.
