Toyota Yaris:  Maintenance Required Light Comes on When Starting14 Nov 2007 14:41 GMT13
I've been driving my 2007 Toyota Yaris for about 6 months now.  When I
turn the engine on, the "maintenance required" sign comes on for a
while.  Eventually it goes away, but the light never came on before.
It's been like that for about a day.
1988 Corolla Sedan Tail Light Assembly - What Sealant to Use?14 Nov 2007 05:58 GMT3
When I removed the damaged tail/brake/backup light assembly, I saw a sealant
between the plastic assembly and the painted metal opening over which it
fits.  The sealant is to prevent water leaking behind the assembly and into
the trunk.
Toyota gains, GM loses14 Nov 2007 01:50 GMT2
Toyta sales were up 11% for the last quarter, with profits of $4B (Before
you Libs go pointing fingers about the oil company profits, remember: you
don't NEED a Toyota, you DO NEED oil...)
GM posted a $39B loss, blamed on accounting for tax issues.

A harbinger for all to heed.

Camry Squeal13 Nov 2007 06:32 GMT1
Probably a simple question, and I'm just making sure I know what it is.  I
have a 1993 Toyota Camry XLE V6 (3.0L) with 105,000 miles.  On occasion, I
notice when I'm going around 30-40MPH a fairly loud shriek/squeal from the
passenger side.  I think it's a belt, but since the ...
2001 Corolla not Shifting13 Nov 2007 06:17 GMT3
I have a 2001 Corolla that on occasion will not shift (manual transmission).
The clutch works and it is out of gear but the stick shift will not move.  I
haven't experienced it myself but my daughter has.  I have had it at two
shops (one a transmission shop) and they can find ...
98 corolla timing chain tensioner13 Nov 2007 06:14 GMT1
I have a 98 corolla, manual transmission (76,000 miles) and the timing chain
tensioner seems to start leaking oil every couple of years and needs to be
replace. On two occasions I've had the tensioner replaced twice within six
months. I was beginning to wonder if this was a scam ...
How to pronounce Previa13 Nov 2007 02:40 GMT6
How is "Previa" pronounced, as in Toyota's minivan before the Sienna?
Is it PREE-vee-uh (to sound similar to "preview"), or PREH-vee-uh?
Bird versus Camry13 Nov 2007 01:09 GMT19
The summer before last I was renting a house in addition to
my apartment.  (I had planned to move from the apartment
to the house, but decided I liked the apartment better, so
for a year I was paying 2 rents.)

Interesting.  I saw you guys discussing this recently.  Sounds like Toyota
can't win either way.

(OT:) Hurrah for EA0JC12 Nov 2007 21:35 GMT16
Better known to the general public as King Juan Carlos of Spain, he told the
Dictator of Venezuela to shut up.
Somebody finally told the arse to shut his pie hole.  That's how you've got
to deal with them.  No Mr Nice-nice.  Just like you can't really be nice to

Please be specific to 1999 Camry.
