Several Red Flags For Spotting A Phony Or Scam31 Dec 2007 20:16 GMT5
The world is full of phonies and scammers these days. They use various
mediums such as phone solicitation, spam email, magazine and
newspapers ads, TV infomercials, and plain old snail mail. They are
constantly searching for their next victim. Like P.T. Barnum once
88 Camry stabilizer mount problem.....31 Dec 2007 18:13 GMT8
The car makes  metallic popping noises from the left front.  The
struts/springs are good, have both been recently replaced without
stopping the popping noises.  From a stand-still, if you hit the
accelerator just a little, when the car starts to roll, it makes a pop
When to change the timing belt of a 1988 Toyota Camry?31 Dec 2007 17:55 GMT4
All:
I was wondering when was the time as recommended by Toyota to change the timing belt of a 1988 Toyota
Camry? I know it's up to 60K mileage but is there a year time limit -- like every four years or such?  Just
curious. Thanks!

2002 Corolla door lock31 Dec 2007 14:08 GMT9
So I guess the key cylinder lock dealy on the outside of the car on
the drivers side is whacked.  I'm not sure what happened or why but it
doesn't work.  I got irritated one day and tried to turn the key as
hard to the right as possible and I think that sealed the deal with it

this rattle?
88 Camry: how to check basic timing?31 Dec 2007 03:07 GMT3
Another little problem I can use some advice on.....
it has the 3S-FE engine......
I replaced the camshaft oil seal. The timing belt slipped on the crank
sprocket, so I lost the setting.  No problem with the camshaft pulley,
Gawd!  $280 for a Prius FOB key.30 Dec 2007 23:49 GMT4
Warning:
Do not lose the key (FOB) to your Prius.  Dealer was $240 at the parts
counter plus 1/2 hour in shop time to program it.  Nothing like a $280 key
to thwart those burglars.

Re: 1998 Toyota Avalon timing belt question29 Dec 2007 17:40 GMT11
All:
Thank you to those of you who answered my initial question. I have almost 73K on this Avalon; but, it was
rarely driven by the previous owner so I am satisfied that I won't need the timing belt and water pump changed
for awhile.
Hey, Witfal!29 Dec 2007 04:13 GMT21
Why didn't you get an IS300?
Same engine as the Supra (basically), 3.0 Liter VVTi Fire Breathing
Monster, decent handling and all in a good looking package.
We had one at the Toy dealer I was working at in Oght-five, the Hatch
Brakes on '03 Corolla28 Dec 2007 18:05 GMT3
It's time to replace the brake pads on my 2003 Corolla and I am
thinking of doing it myself.  The last time I did a brake job was
about 8 years ago on a 1990 Ford Escort.  Have things changed that
much that I should not attempt this myself?  Any good online
