Things the News Media taught me about Hurricane Katrina20 Dec 2007 00:26 GMT6
Things I have learned from TV Coverage of Katrina
1. The hurricane only hit black family's property.
2. New Orleans was devastated and no other city was affected by the
hurricane.

Brakes chirp after inspection19 Dec 2007 04:21 GMT20
My 2007 Toyota Sienna was perfectly well behaved until the day I
brought it in to have the tires rotated.  They told me they also did a
"brake inspection" (unrequested) and everything checked out ok.
Well ever since then I hear a "chirp chirp chirp" coming from the rear
Speedometer cluster light question19 Dec 2007 00:17 GMT9
I have a 2002 Corolla and it appears that behind the speedometer,
there are two lights.  One for the left side of the speedometer and
one for the right side.
The right side is dimmer than the left so I assume the bulb is burnt

1998 Toyota Avalon timing belt change?17 Dec 2007 21:30 GMT3
All:
I just bought a slightly used 1998 Toyota Avalon from an Uncle. So far, it's a great car! It easily passed CA
smog and also passed Toyota's 160 point inspection.
One question though -- when do I change it's timing belt? It's got almost 73K on it; but since my Uncle

1986 Toyota trunk lid spring assembly, complete. I think it is only 4
bolts to remove the entire unit. Toyota no longer supports that old a
vehicle and repeated searches on the net have netted me nothing (no pun
intended!). I'm not sure but I think the `86 - `89 models are the same

Problems with a '92 Toyota Camry16 Dec 2007 17:10 GMT4
My car has been having troubles starting recently.  I've replaced both
the battery and the starter and the problem persists.  The car makes
no sound when I try to start it, and usually will start if I wait five
minutes or so.  However, today, after 15 minutes, it still wouldn't
2008 Highlander16 Dec 2007 02:52 GMT2
I'm in the market for a mid-sized SUV and, among other brands, I'll be
looking at the 2008 Highlander which I understand has been redesigned.
Anyone have any experience with that unit that you can share?
Thanx
Dumb question about rheostat light control 2007 Corolla15 Dec 2007 21:09 GMT1
I was killing some time waiting in my car for my wife to finish up some
shopping, when I noticed that the halo of light around the cigarette lighter
was illuminated brighter on one side than the other.  When I cranked the
rheostat up full, it was more evenly late, but when it's ...

Check out the mail about the LED Christams light story (BTW, NBC has been
saying "Christmas", not "Holiday". Good for them!)
Yesterday they did a story about LED Christmas lights, and said they were
