(OT:) k00ks in the n00z, too20 Jan 2008 03:22 GMT13
During a program on the BBC concerning "Sustainable Shopping", a k00k from
Friends of the Earth uttered the absolute nonsense that the
world's biggest retailers should be limited as to how much they can grow,
and that this limit should be set by the government.

Wiper Blade Replacement19 Jan 2008 16:17 GMT10
Have a 2008 Avalon.  Looked throughout the owner's manual and nowhere could I find any reference to replacement of the wiper blades.  They look a bit different then what I've seen before--have rubber tips on each end of the blade that look as if they are meant to come off which ...
01 Prizm hood latch19 Jan 2008 15:30 GMT4
The secondary hood latch on my Prizm was frozen in the open position.
The dealer freed it up somewhat but it is still very sluggish.  How can
this be freed up?  I have tried WD-40 and Lithium spray.

I bough a 1998 Toyota Corolla in July 2005. At the time, it had been
driven 65,000 miles. Now, it has been driven 100,000+ miles. Is it
time replace the brake pads?

Head gasket on 95 Camry19 Jan 2008 01:51 GMT36
I have a 1995 Camry (125K in miles) with a 4 cylinder engine. For the
past year and half,  I have been leaking oil (1 quart every 3000
miles). Last year, my mechanic has put dye in the oil to check for
leaks, replaced the valve cover gasket, replaced the distributor O-

I have transmission fluid being pulled by the speedo cable.  I

the dealers and every company I call does not have it.  I'm at my wits
end. Also I need an EGR valve.  They are ridiculously over priced a

First Drive: Toyota Prius Plug-In Hybrid18 Jan 2008 03:00 GMT4
I assumed that a plug-in version of the Prius wouldn't be powerful
enough when operating in electric-only mode, given that you have to
accelerate gingerly in a regular Prius to achieve its top electric-
only speed of 30 mph without triggering...

Hello there, I need to link the ISO connector of my new car audio system
to the wires of the toyota, which unfortunately have no connector or
label. If anybody has a scheme of these wires, that'd be very helpful.
Thanks a lot

Yaris in the snow...17 Jan 2008 23:47 GMT36
In forty years of driving we have never driven a car that is as bad
in the snow as our 2006 Yaris Hatchback.  We went out and bought
snow tires today, hopefully that will help.  But the dealership told
