I try stuff so you don't have to...19 Apr 2008 20:49 GMT1
This month's problem: faded/cloudy lenses on thrun signals and marker
lights.
I was going to try some of that headlight restorer, but being a cheap
bastard (and with all the stuff I already have here...) I figured I'd try

A.C. and Gas Prices.19 Apr 2008 17:44 GMT16
Does anyone know how much I will increase my  m.p.g. by disconnecting
the A.C. compressor belt on my 4-runner?  Futhermore, I'm still
convinced that Toyota Trucks are a maintenance mechanics nightmare.  I
can't believe how difficult it looks to change belts on mine.  Not
One more question about my 1985 Toyota Tercel wagon...19 Apr 2008 06:25 GMT4
I can't seem to drain all the oil out.  I jack it up on one side, and I can
only get 3 quarts drained out.
I have over-filled sometimes putting in the 3rd quart.
What's the trick?
92' Corolla Front Passenger Door Lock Not Moving19 Apr 2008 06:24 GMT8
Door will not open from outside OR inside the car. The pull up / push
down knob is STUCK and won't move. Usually a plastic piece will brake
but that would cause the knob to go Up and Down but the knob just
won't budge. No power windows or locks on this one.

I have a Hopkins wiring harness for a trailer which requires a separate
lead to the positive side of the battery.
I know I can route beneath the vehicle, but would there be a channel
The next Supra project...19 Apr 2008 03:16 GMT3
I'm not sure how much of this one I can do...I don't like MacPhearson
struts...
The suspension on the Supra needs to be replaced. I need bushings on the
front, but I'm told they're a bitch to press in. The dealers don't even

Estimate for rear brakes: reasonable?19 Apr 2008 03:10 GMT6
Since you guys had a lot of helpful suggestions about the air
conditioner problem I'm having (which I thought might be due to
mechanic error), I thought I'd ask for opinions on something else.
Again, I have a '97 Corolla.
Anybody hear about Toyota buying back Tacomas?19 Apr 2008 03:07 GMT14
At band practice last night the guys were telling me Toyota was buying
back Tacomas (I think...) for 150% of book value, because of rotting
frames. I thought they were pulling the other one until some guy came
down and said, "Did you hear about so-and-so? Toyota bought his truck

{{ OT }} Bitter or not bitter, that is the question19 Apr 2008 00:01 GMT36
By now everybody knows that Obama put his foot into his mouth pretty much to
his hip over the weekend.
I have Hannity and Combes on my TV right now, and Combes is talking the to
the guest, who described the San Francisco Liberals in a somewhat insulting

Saw it on the news just now. Not sure if it was a local municipality or
the whole state, but they  want to be able to  ticket people who hang
testicals from the back of their vehicles.. Only in Florid-duh would you
need a law like that and the one they have  for wearing your pants ...

My girlfriend drove my car this morning and clipped a metal deal which
scraped the black mirror housing.  Nothing bad, just cosmetic damage.
I found this mirror:
