Mechanic recommendation needed for Union County, NJ30 Jun 2008 15:37 GMT3
Can anybody recommend a googd mechanic in Northern NJ (union county,
Westfield area)? I am having idle problems. I suspect either the IAC
valve or EGR valve. Both expensive parts so I would like to find
someone who can troubleshoot these types of problems.
{{  OT  }}  GWB's insistance on 6 Party Talks looks to have been the smart strategy30 Jun 2008 14:48 GMT1
North Korea dismantled a nuke plant on Friday.
I don't know if the 6-Party Talks is the reason, but it is easy to think the
Bush strategy played a role in Kim Jung Il's decision. It is interesting to
note that North Korea kept this our of their own news reports AND made

EGR replacement and injector cleaning30 Jun 2008 13:15 GMT11
I am having the dealer replace the egr valve and related components
tomorrow. This is to fix the car idle dropping below 250 at idle after
highway driving. He also wanted to clean the fuel injectors at the
same time. To use his words "you have to get the carbon out". At this

WHAT'S WITH MISSING IN IOWA...?
The place is flooded.  Homes, businesses, crops, and lives are in ruin, yet
Al Sharpton and Jesse Jackson are nowhere to be seen.   Every photo I have
seen shows determined people working together to save their homes and
A floor jack's STEEL WHEELS29 Jun 2008 21:04 GMT42
Steel wheels aren't as robust as one might suppose.  The 3.5-ton
Michelin floor jack's steel wheels laid down a thin layer of
a white, chalk-like substance which I can only suppose was
ground steel extracted from the wheels by the heavy weight of

The Yaris a year later..28 Jun 2008 12:48 GMT14
Well, it has been one year since we bought the Yaris. It still handles well.
No real issues with it at all. The only thing I tend to notice is the front
tires seem to wear down quicker than the back tires. That could be because I
break rather quickly sometimes due to the trafic ...
Anybody using Progressive?28 Jun 2008 12:00 GMT9
My insurance for this year was $1700 for the Scion (Full coverage), the
'89 Mazda (Limited Collision, no deductible) and the Supra (LC, no
deductible).
Next year I get a 'loyalty discount', which would bring it to $1100.

(OT:) We can't drill in the Gulf, let's let the Nigerians27 Jun 2008 18:45 GMT119
This is where touchy-feely Liberalism gets you:
Congress won't allow drilling in the Gulf of Mexico by US companies.
However, at a meeting of oil producing countries, Nigeria is inking a 100-
year lease to drill in the Gulf's oil reserves.
