{OT:} McCain's new ad sounds like a democratic ad05 Jun 2008 12:24 GMT2
I just saw one of McCain's new ads and it is a pure democratic
candidate ad.  He KNOWS he can't win as a republican so he is running
on a democratic platform.

I guess we took the land away from them by force and now they are
taking it back and more by a cultural invasion.  I live in SE Virginia,
how long do I have before I'll have to learn Spanish just to
communicate?
Toyota is leader in the manufactorer's standngs for NASCAR cup04 Jun 2008 14:49 GMT6
Last year, they did not win a race. This year, they won 1/3 of the races
so far, and have 73 points.
It shows the quality of the teams running Toyota-branded cars in NASCAR.
Of course, it has nothing to do with the cars that Toyota sells to

Scan Gauge 204 Jun 2008 07:06 GMT4
This thing sounds cool, too bad it won't work on my '93.

So where can I find an old cheapo vacuum gauge for the dash?
You know, the kinds we used to have back in the '70's, with green, yellow

What is worse on a vehicle's suspension and steering, hitting a hole 4
inches deep or hitting a bump 4 inches high going about 40 MPH?
{OT:} Florida is the true land of fruits and nuts03 Jun 2008 14:33 GMT49
Florida is almost out of control.  Is anybody in charge down there?
People keep razing California but after watching the DNC meeting today
and listening to Florida's proposals I understand why nothing goes
right down there except Disney World.  Florida is the true land of
(OT:) The price of a barrel goes up...03 Jun 2008 09:46 GMT34
the price of gas goes up...IMMEDIATELY. "We need to be able to pay for
the oil we have to buy at the new price" is the excuse given.
However, oil went down $4 per barrel today. So, where is the decrease?
"We have to pay for the oil we already refined and put in the storage
2003 Corolla windshield removal03 Jun 2008 07:45 GMT8
There is some surface rust along the metal that meets the top of the
windshield/gasket.  My windshield is cracked and needs to be replaced
in order for me to pass my inspection.  My thought is to remove the
windshield myself, remove the rust, touch up the paint, and then

(OT:) Stolen from another group: Save gas/stop illegal immigration03 Jun 2008 01:17 GMT7
George Carlin's Solution to Save Gasoline :
Bush wants us to cut the amount of gas we use..... The best way to stop
using so much gas is to deport 11 million illegal immigrants!
That would be 11 million less people using our gas. The price of gas would
Certain options: order them with car, or aftermarket?02 Jun 2008 19:42 GMT15
I am a newbie at this, having bought my last car about 10 years ago, so
please bear with me.
We are in the market for a new Toyota. Still unsettled on the model.
However, the family definitely wants a 6 CD CHANGER and a SUNROOF!
Fixing stuck emergency brake02 Jun 2008 11:33 GMT3
My friend asked me to pose his problem here. He has an '88 Toyota Corolla
hatchback, 4 cylinders. His car's back emergency brake is sticking on the
driver's side and he tells me he needs advice on how to loosen it.
If he wants to try to fix this, what does he have to do?
Any expereince with online shopping for a new Toyota?02 Jun 2008 07:40 GMT3
We are in the market for a new Toyota. The last car I bought was about
10 years ago and I am still going about it in the old fashioned and
painful way: visiting dealerships in person. Besides time and trouble
of getting there, one has to deal with salesmen.
