Toyota Corolla Engine Trouble21 Jul 2008 20:20 GMT6
I own a 1999 Toyota Corolla driven 158K miles.
Recently while driving down a freeway, despite pressing down the
pedal, the car would not accelerate. I stopped the car on the shoulder
and tried to restart the car. It did not start. I got the car towed to

Al Bore will be the guest on Meet the Press, with Tom Brokaw.
Some hard-hitting journalism, for sure.
Should be an interesting brown-nose-fest...
2004 Sienna AC one side blows warm air21 Jul 2008 01:20 GMT5
I recently had the dealership changed the air filter of my 2004
Sienna. After I got home, I noticed that there were a big leave and a
few small pieces in the blower. I took them out and everything seemed
OK. But, when I now turn the AC on, the driver side blows warm air

"Evaporative emissions leak": Corolla?20 Jul 2008 17:30 GMT3
My 04 Corolla sedan has a constant check engine light. I put my code
readoer on it and it reported: "Evaporative emissions control system
leak (minor)".  Would this be the evaporative canister? A vacuum leak?
What to check?
{OT:} House Republicans vote _No_ on oil drilling bill20 Jul 2008 16:17 GMT22
Hey rightwingtards, The House republicans voted to BLOCK a bill that
would force oil companies to drill on leased oil fields.  The house
republicans are afraid to even bring this to the floor for debate.
How unpatriotic.  Republicans want the terrorists to win.  How about a

(OT:) Democrats sandbagging again...20 Jul 2008 12:14 GMT105
Today Democratic 'leadership' (there's an oxymoron, eh?) said they aren't
pressing to lift governmental bans on drilling in 'sensitive' areas
because it will not lower the price of gasoline.
Well, I will give them, they are probably correct. US refineries are
{OT:} Oil prices drop drastically after Congress plans to investigate     speculators20 Jul 2008 06:04 GMT2
If just the threat of congressional hearings on oil futures
speculating causes the price of a barrel on oil to drop below $129,
imagine the price of oil when we close another "Enron loophole".
Below $90 a barrel soon?  Almost worth a bet, price/date.
Groaning front end on Camry20 Jul 2008 03:19 GMT2
My 1998 Camry LE has a lot of noise from the front end. It sounds like
groaning and creaking. Is this a common problem for the 1997-2001 series or
peculiar to mine. Struts have been changed. I am trying to decide if I
should start changing out everything to see what works ...
(OT:) Mozila Firefox loses bookmarks19 Jul 2008 22:24 GMT10
I apologize for going so far off topic, but you might need to know and want
to do something about it.
I've been using Mozilla Browser products for many years, mainly because of
the convenience and permanency of Bookmarks. It appears that's all changed,

It turns out that they displayed no new capability at all, which we already
knew. It also turns out that there is the appearance of PhotoShop editing
sessions in some or all of the videos.

PATERSON, N.J. (CBS) ? Instead of "stick 'em up," it will be more like
"pull 'em up" now that fashion police in New Jersey have started a
crackdown on baggy pants.
Councilman Anthony Davis tells teenagers to pull it up every day, and
stripped stud18 Jul 2008 04:36 GMT12
One wheel stud and its lugnut became stripped when rotating the tires
of my 2000 Sienna.  I tried putting the the lugnut on there backwards
in the hopes of remaking the threads but stopped when it was getting
too hard to turn.
