I'm beginning to hate these things...17 Jul 2008 17:12 GMT8
As bad as Mopeds in the 70's...

They come 70-250CC and are capable of speeds up to 80 MPH, but have no
regulation whatsoever. In my area, people with these things dart around
lifting a Previa17 Jul 2008 06:29 GMT8
Is there any reasonable, practical way to gain a few more inches of
undercarriage clearance on a Previa for use on back roads? What will
it require and what will it compromise? If I could get another 3-4"
I'd be  a happy (literally) camper.
Control Arm / Stabilizer bar bushing?17 Jul 2008 06:12 GMT4
I have a 1987 Camry.
Does the bushing, the one where  that the Sway (stabilizer) bar goes through
the control arm, require to be pressed in or out, or does it just sit loose
after the 22mm nut is loosened?
Considering new Sienna - AWD thoughts?16 Jul 2008 14:04 GMT4
Greets all,
I may be a future Toyota convert and am strongly conidering a new
Sienna 7passenger LE with package 2 (alloy, power driver side closer,
etc).  I've been hugely impressed with the sales experience thus far
Is there a hardtop convertible in Toyota's near future?16 Jul 2008 05:41 GMT5
2008 is the last year for the Solara convertible.  It's nice for a
ragtop, but it also has the ragtop limitations, especially limited
visability.
Has anyone heard what (if anything) might replace the Solara?  I'm
Chicagoland Toyota dealer service - who's decent?16 Jul 2008 05:37 GMT5
I'm considering my first Toyota, and would like to buy from a dealer
where the service department is good!  When I bought my prior car, I
regretted purchasing from a dealer whose service turned out to be
awful, and I ended up servicing the vehicle at another dealership.
{OT:} Time to bring in the UN to stop our Government.16 Jul 2008 03:21 GMT11
It's time to request the UN come into the U.S. and monitor the last
days of the Bush administration.  We need to stop Bush and both houses
of Congress from doing ANYTHING until the new president takes office
in Jan 2009.
No vroom vroom with the Camry16 Jul 2008 02:19 GMT32
Very odd.  Yesterday as I was slowly coasting on level ground
into a gas station, I was going too slowly, so I decided to
press down on the accelerator pedal a bit.  The car's RPMs
increased (I heard the RPM rev up), but the car did not move
'88 Supra, doing better than I thought...15 Jul 2008 22:00 GMT3
I need to replace the speedometer cable, so I have no odometer, so I have
no way of telling what kind of economy I'm getting. I was figuring ~14 MPG
with the roof removed.
We played a gig Saturday, and I had just filled the tank, so I used
Toyota Camry hybrid issue15 Jul 2008 20:33 GMT14
I was driving my wife's 2008 Camry hybrid.  It was late and I put it on
cruise control at 45 mph on an empty surburban street.  Interesting thing is
that gradually it accelerated to near 55 mph when I decided to turn the
cruise control off.  The road was pretty much level..  Any ...

{OT} "No Dr. Phil"15 Jul 2008 18:32 GMT14
I believe Dr. Phil Gramm was a PhD befor the later "Dr. Phil.  But We ARE a
nation of whiners.  Just think some 95% of people that want to work have
jobs.  Something about the same percentage are currently paying their
mortgages on time.  Obamas wife is whining about cost of ...
What's in our price range that gets more MPG?15 Jul 2008 05:04 GMT14
We'd be better with something under $5000 for now.
We have a 93 Corolla Wagon but it's getting pretty beat up from this work
we do.
It gets 25-30 MPG but a little less with this work because I keep the
Highlander O2 sensors14 Jul 2008 17:55 GMT42
Are some oxygen sensors better than others or do they all perform the
same?

{OT}  racist babies14 Jul 2008 10:06 GMT188
LONDON, July 7 (UPI) -- Toddlers who say "yuck" when given flavorful
foreign food may be exhibiting racist behavior, a British
government-sponsored organization says.
The London-based National Children's Bureau released a 366-page
