{OT} environmental disaster at Big Sur10 Jul 2008 11:05 GMT2
The monumental environmental disaster in Big Sur must be stopped - Al Gore
must take action to prevent more damage!!!!!
No, not the fires, let the rich ones (whoever they are!) houses burn.
I mean allowing helicopters to invade the sanctity of the coast.  They are
No vroom, vroom with the Camry10 Jul 2008 00:00 GMT13
This is odd.  Today as I was coasting into a gas station parking
lot, I was going too slowly, so I decided to push down on the
accelerator pedal a bit.  The car's RPMs increased (I heard the
RPM rev up), but the car did not move forward any faster than

They're waiting for Scott, dbu, and Jeff. Come on guys. No one will
think any worse of you if you admit that you're wrong, and come away
from the dark side. He's the most conservative candidate running, if
I'm gonna stop driving for about 6 months09 Jul 2008 10:45 GMT129
we haven't had no-fault insurance here for ~30 years. The state allowed it
again in April.
People are going nutz with the new low insurance rates. I upped the
coverage on the Supra and am paying half of what I was before.
84 Corolla windshield washer09 Jul 2008 05:29 GMT2
My windshield washer stoped working. When I press the "spray" button
it sounds completly dead. Checked fuses & they are fine. Any insight
into this would be greatly appreciated.
(OT:) In case you missed it, Obama was the one who said09 Jul 2008 04:31 GMT37
he's glad gas prices in the US are nearing those in the rest of the world.
He's only regretful it happened overnight.
Looking for the DRL Light Sensor under the dash for Corolla09 Jul 2008 02:22 GMT7
My car is a US model. I already have the DRL module installed BUT it
was probably deactivated for the US cars market.
I found a quick way to have my lights remain ON at all times by
probably opening the light sensor circuit (or close it, whatever it
(OT:) Gonna stop driving for 6 months, part two...09 Jul 2008 02:16 GMT5
And this is why. I'll wait for all the *morons* to either get speeding
tickets or accidents and get their insurance rates doubled, and hopefully
they'll learn a lesson...
Before they kill someone.
Purple - when?09 Jul 2008 00:21 GMT15
I have a friend who says she's holding out to buy a new Toyota, until they
offer them in deep purple. :)
Libertarians for Obama Organization Gains Strength as Millions of Libertarians Express Support for Obama08 Jul 2008 18:14 GMT3
"One of the simplest ways to describe libertarian philosophy is that it
stands for shrinking government.  Bush has obviously been one of the
most anti-libertarian presidents this country has seen in that regard.
As far as McCain is concerned, he will continue the Bush trend."
Any way to keep the 12 v outlets ON on my Sienna?08 Jul 2008 17:21 GMT52
I love my 07 Sienna van...but....the interior 12 volt outlets go
off when the key goes off.
I know the reason ( to prevent battery run down if something is plugged
in)...but...I would far rather take a chance on leaving something plugged in
Question:  I "Joined" this group 2 days ago... most things are "OT" ?08 Jul 2008 16:34 GMT75
Not to be "unkind".. but I "joined" this news group a couple days ago
with a question and the responses have been GREAT. (and helpful)
HOWEVER - MOST of the posts seem to be "OT" to say the least.
I need/want some assistance on a question about the topic (in this
Toyota TSB about 30-weight and 20-weight oils08 Jul 2008 04:55 GMT12
Here's a copy of an interesting Toyota TSB from March 29, 2006.
It lists the engines Toyota says can use 20-weight oil, even
though at least some of these engines specify 30-weight oil
in their owner's manuals.

I bought a new Toyo a year ago, and all of a sudden I'm getting a flood,
