fuel pipes31 May 2004 16:24 GMT8
My Vitara failed its MOT this week on corroded fuel pipes. There is one 6mm
pipe and one 8mm pipe. No-one round here seems to stock 8mm fuel pipe.
Does anyone see a problem using 8mm central heating copper pipe?

I have been told that my car needs a new backbox - my choice is whether to
go for a stainless steel jobbie or a standard one...
I think a stainless is better from the viewpoint that I intend to keep the
car a good few years - however I want to find a good price for it - anyone
Vitara Exhaust25 May 2004 23:54 GMT6
I'm trying to get a new, pattern exhaust for my Vitara (1.6i JLX SE,
3-door, soft-top, 1994 M).
Unfortunately, all the pattern exhausts I can find are for Spanish-built
Vitaras, whereas mine appears to be a Japanese-built one, and the
Diesel Oil Change23 May 2004 13:18 GMT8
What is the correct procedure when changing oil in a diesel engine, ie
flushing/cleaning.
(yes, I have changed oil before in petrol engines but diesels seem to

Landie petrol pipe23 May 2004 07:55 GMT1

tank, under the rear off side wheel arch. Hva ereplaced this, but now
the other one is leaking. This one disappears behind the chassis member
and appears to go to the top of the tank.

Having bought a '92 Prado auto diesel jap import recently can anyone point

opening the Jimny bonnet20 May 2004 15:44 GMT10
I recently bought a Suzuki Jimny (wide). Before buying, the saleman showed

sounds silly, but I can't find it anywhere within reach to the ...
5th Gear 4x4 review18 May 2004 08:11 GMT7
Much as I hate to critisize the lovely Vicki-Butler Henderson I must
say that this weeks feature on the best family 4x4 for £20K was total
rubbish.
Initially the programme looked like interesting viewing the contenders
Spray painting17 May 2004 21:58 GMT4
I want to either get a gloss or if i'm feeling brave a matt black finish, I
was wondering what the most cost efficient types of paint there
are and their prices per litre. I already have a friend who has access to a
high grade spray system so I just really need to know what the ...
