Thinking of buying a SSang Yong Musso. They have a diesel Mercedes engine
2.9 litre.
Anyone got any views, What Car seems to give them a fair right up

What do you need to remove to get the alternator off? I've got the pump
off the back and the alternator is off the bracket, but I can't see any
way to get the alternator without removing a number of pipes, or even
the radiator. It's a '96 model if it makes any difference.

Are either the hard or soft x-trail bootliners good for stopping stuff
sliding around - better say than a blanket? test drove one at the
w/end and this sliding around was really annoying

I have a 1986 Land Rover County 110 which I have had from new.  It had a
2.5 Nat Asp engine which stopped working twice in the first 60,000
miles. The man who was then the Technical Editor of the Land Rover
Owners Magazine replaced the engine with a Nissan FD35 3.5 ltr Turbo

I'm wondering about a 2.2l turbo diesel hilux. It's a Japanese import with
seats, air con, etc. Any ideas of fuel consumption, spares availability, off
road ability, etc? We recently sold a S3 Landrover :-( but want a family
wagon that will cope well with green lanes and motorways.
