Does anyone know where I could hire a monster truck in the UK for display?
(i.e. it wont be driven, just parked in a car park).
Vehicle for occassional towing19 Aug 2005 16:40 GMT66
I'm looking for a used 4X4 for general use and occasional towing. A Trooper
or Defender would be fine but I'd like more mpg. An estate able to tow over
1500Kg would be fine (if I ignore the ridiculous notion that it must be able
to tow trailer max gross weight)
Land rover IR headlamp filters15 Aug 2005 15:58 GMT1
Anyone know where I can purchase some military type IR filters at a
reasonable price?

Hi, I have a 1995 Nissan Patrol SLX GR SWB  its a 4.2 Diesel and all
seems to be in shape BUT has a horrible low rev vibration which
dissappears as soon as you are above 1000rpm (ONLY WHEN YOUR MOVING NOT
STATIONARY)

Ford Galaxy ghia 4x414 Aug 2005 09:58 GMT1
What are these like? I want it for towing a 4 berth caravan, and also I
regularly drive over farm paddocks to fly model aircraft, sometimes in
winter when it's a bit wet. (not with the caravan though!)
Iknow it's not in the same league as a Toyota Landcruiser etc. but would it
Mitisibishi Challenger12 Aug 2005 19:12 GMT2
My father has one of the above, it's a japenese import and come with
the 2.8TDI engine. The car is registered on the P. I understand that
the engine is of the simpler design where mixture/emissions are
controlled by a adjustable pump rather than a electronic system.

Whats the difference between a 200 td1 and 300tdi my parkers choice gives
the same bhp for both with the same engine size.Is it compression or valve
nos? Some say advoid the td5 engine because it needs electronics to set up
and service....?
Can I hire a Defender?12 Aug 2005 13:15 GMT8
My wife has always wanted to drive a Land Rover Defender SWB (preferably a
shiny raspberry one!).  I have been trying to find somewhere in or near
Hertfordshire where I can hire one for a weekend for her birthday (we live
near Watford).  Does anyone know where I might be successful? ...
Best Psi for jet washer for 4x412 Aug 2005 12:39 GMT2
I was originally in market for the highest psi jet washer I could fit
into my budget, but having tried a couple, I think it best for the
paintwork of my 1 year old Vitara if I stick to about 120psi max. What
do others recommend?? And make/deal??
Renault RX4 transmission clunking10 Aug 2005 21:22 GMT8
I'm about to buy a 5-year old Renault Rx4.
Before you tell me not to:
1) I live in a hilly, snowy area, so I need the 4x4
2) It's a very good deal, well below the book price, well looked after,
3rd row of seats10 Aug 2005 20:07 GMT3
All,
I'm trying to find out which large 4x4s come with a third row of seats
that do NOT fold up to the side windows. I used to have a LWB Patrol
where the third row folded against the backs of the 2nd row. I later

SAS Landrovers05 Aug 2005 16:36 GMT2
A couple of weeks ago I saw two special forces Landrovers
driving through the middle of Bath: no roof, windscreens
down, all the fittings, etc.
My question is this, is it legal (for me) to drive a LR with
Thoughts on Jeep Sport 2.4?03 Aug 2005 22:45 GMT2
After the kind (?) responses to my posts about the Tata Safari, I had a look
at one of the above.
Any thoughts on that?
